We were suppose to get those rains but hardly a drop.
CONSTRUCTION REPAIR this weekend . raking out the ruts from the Lull from building the bog. spread four yard of stop soil seed and strewed. Weeded front flow garden and spread 50 bags of mulch. Installed 3 sections of split rail fence. while the mrs was out having a mother days weekend in NYC..{ YOU CAN HAVE THAT PLACE}
IT made her day after spending the weekend in the dirty city to come home and see her home all cleaned up.

Happy belated Mothers day!! Ladies

I knew they would do it.....................3 days of rain - 3 inches, cloudy cold, trapped in the hive, sun out time to leave for a new home.

The first swarm under our deck, second 4 feet off the ground in a spruce, third................in one of our false bamboos. on 4 stems, ground level, we slowly cut them off and dumped the bees into a hive. Mixed up lemon grass oil and sugar water, they love that, sprayed the frames sprayed the bees.

The poor bush ended up being chopped way back, it will regrow.

We put the hive body right next to the poor bush and the bees walked right in. You can see them leaving the cut bush and walking into the hive, which means we caught the queen.

Any other year I would be thrilled, we are trying to finish up with bees this year instead we are getting hive # increases.

We set up swarm traps had a few scouts out yesterday now 3 days of rain. Black locust ready to open that will stop the swarming. Seeing a bit of white in the trees.

@Cichlidboy if you want some hives early July, I must sell all. Equipment, bees , extractor on and on. Going to try and hire someone then to help me do inspections, photos, so I can describe each hive. All , except the swarms, overwintered strong hives. 15 currently.

Saw arm doc yesterday, still told not to lift beeboxes, got two cortisone shots to calm down the joints and trauma induced carpal tunnel. So now undergoing nerve tests. THEN SURGERY. geez

Pain so bad at night it keeps me up.

Today knee doc for trauma induced injury, see what he says hope just a brace. Can't bend it.

NEVER FALL OFF A BOAT!
