What I did yesterday.....swarm catching. This swarm set up home under a lid right outside our walk outbasement slider, huge swarm. They had already started drawing comb, it was raining. Still near our door, need to let them sit for a few days ow they will leave. Establish thier new home. We picked up the lid and dumped the bees into a hive.

Then another hive swarmed, they picked a blue spruce, settled 5 feet off the ground. We shook them into another hive set up. Letting them settle before moving the hive. Only 4 stings this time. You can see the cluster starting on the branch. It was 3 x that size when they settled. The swarm is a stopping place as scouts go out to find a home. You can have minutes to hours to collect them, never know. The sun was out so we had more time, usually .

I saw a clown take three 2x4 place them on the flat across the bed of his truck and was going to try to take a skid of 1/2 sheet rock . My helper and I seeing this stoped the fork truck drive and demanded he go talk to his boss before he did suck a thing . As we were loading up our own truck I saw his boss give him a good backhanded across the back of the head from the other side of the yard. I know exactly how that conversation went.

I don't think I will be doing that anymore though it's work truck days are over I also got a 5.3 LS motor for it but probably won't go in until next year after I go threw the entire motor

Taking care of my grand daughters large half Maine Coon kitty Stormy while she is visiting California for a few days. He is so sweet and mellow. He's got arthritis and is 16 yrs old now. He gets pain meds in his food and some kind of supplement. Her place is right up the road from me so I just ride my bike or walk up there twice a day. Gives me a little extra exercise on top of my regular regime.
Such a pretty boy!

Beautiful cat j.w.!! How convenient to live so close by! Your granddaughter is very lucky to have such a helpful grandmother, and a spry one to beat!

Went to the Nascar Cup race at Dover yesterday. Rained out after 78 laps. Not doing the 2 1/2 hour drive back today, will watch it from the comfort of my couch.

Bummer. If its something that makes sense for you to do, you can exchange your tickets for tickets to any other race at an SMI-owned track within the next year.

Had surgery this morning, but I took the week off to recover. My wife is watching me like a hawk to ensure I don’t go out in the yard/pond to play. Realistically probably Wednesday if I’m able lol. I can walk, but can’t do heavy strenuous work so I decided to set the bird/humming feeders for the season. Such a beautiful day here in Virginia sunny and mid 70s. My mom also texted me and said she woke up to this in the morning. Apparently some cows got out from a nearby farm haha
