I don’t know where to get one big enough! More like a queen size electric blanket would be needed here. The cats and dogs cuddle together.

Right now I just made pumpkin bread, used part of that batter mixed with pancake batter, making a subtly flavored pancakes, to be followed by frying eggs, of which the critters will get a little each. Might add peanut butter to the dogs food, just a little extra on a cold day.

Watching the Daytona 500. Big crash on lap 14. Tons of cars damaged or wrecked. Now there's a storm moving in so it's currently red flagged.

All that snow gone already @j.w ?
Lol heck no, we have over a foot now and its still snowing!
Nothing will stop me from my daily walks, I should have been a door to door walking mail lady.

Here is the start of my walk down our long private road.

Out the front door and nope we did not shovel. Not going anywhere except for my walks so who cares!

Made chili for the guys for dinner. I only had a pancake for breakfast, then when doing dinner, I’m not very hungry. I think I must need a good hibernation, followed by a good salad. When chili fails to spark my appetite, but thinking of salad heavy on cucumber, tomato, and light on lettuce makes me drool, tells me I need to get a salad once weather allows

Have my Ziggy cat a mouse from the mouse trap. He’s upset it’s not very entertaining, so he makes me toss it for him to chase and pounce. Ok, so my cat may be part dog since he likes to play fetch. His paternity is in question! But so are the dogs, since they like to use their paws like a cat, so it’s fair. Debating on which male dog will be our next coyote fighter. Blondie is out, he’s just not mean enough, Buddy is ready to retire, the cold is hurting his leg. So that leaves Ring nose( dad named him) storm, or Walker. storm has all the sass, but a refusal to accept no when corrected. That doesn’t bode well for us having livestock of any kind. They’re a bit young for us to know, but we will have to work with them and start training them how we want them.

I tossed out some rib bones into our back field, saw the fox come out and snatch a bone, run off, come back get another etc. Then a herd of deer moved in (they bed back there and we put corn and feeder blocks out for them) . The poor fox came to get another bone and the main doe chased him. The fox tried to sneak back to get the bone it dropped, grabbed it and ran like all get out, with the doe chasing him. The fox tried to grab another bone and about 5 deer went after it, that was the last time we saw the fox. The 10ish deer all laid down and napped.

It was darker than dark, but what a hoot to watch!

Second round of storms should be in soon, and I’ve developed a bad case of hibernitis, where I’m not too hungry, just want to hibernate till the temps are higher than my age! Cats are getting cabin fever, being jerks, and if it wasn’t so cold, I’d banish all puppies outside!

Saying 9 inches snow coming on thursday, maybe. Then up to the 50's soon after. It will be a quick snow then melt hit.
