We are heading to Annapolis, bought a boat. Hubby wanted a water place, I did not want another condo, house, trailer, so we compromised. We bought a nice big boat, on the water condo. Old but in good shape. He gets his water place, only a hour plus a bit drive, no lawn to mow, no condo fees, no annual taxes, we will have a dock fee. Which is a lot cheaper than taxes here

We are getting a survey done, which is like a house inspection, checking for soft spots, bad motors, etc etc. The current owner is a computer geek, his job, and has upgraded all the electric stuff, the lights, the fridge, just redid the bottom for quite a bit of money. His wife is making him sale it, she is not happy with the time he spends on it. It is also coast guard approved, he was doing charter trips. Using the funds from the sale of a rental in Florida.

Thanks, we signed the closing docs yesterday. So now we have two places we can shelter in. Our house and the boat. Stay away from people. Our dentist just closed office.

We have food and TP so in great shape! And lots of honey!

I work in a gas station. Just had a confirmed case of corona virus in my county, so it’s just a matter of when I get it. Until then, Mother Nature is trying to pull a replay of last years road conditions, my road was washed out again. Idiots come out to play and tear up the stuff not washed out, so my car is at my moms and I’m using her truck. I go to her place, switch vehicles, go to work, work my tush off, then come back to see if my car will make it home yet...
The store manager is on vacation, and my decision to never ever be a store manager has tripled. The call and texts, trying to work with supply shortages, short staffed, and follow cooperates rules and what not, while trying to be nice to the unreasonable folks, I may be growing grey hair early!
New store policy says no refills until this virus has passed. People are throwing adult temper tantrums over 43 cents. Folks I thought were perfectly reasonable, acting childish, saying they’ll go to the sleezy store down the road. And some of our regular folks, who hang out in the morning drinking coffee, we have to ask them not to. Throwing a fit. It’s for their safety and ours! We get hundreds of folks in from all over, and who knows who may have any kind of virus! Hanging out at a gas station, even a nice one like ours, is a great way to get sick! I know, I work there! We try to keep things clean, our food is better quality than most gas station food, but in a situation where schools are closing, folks are panicking, and with all this drama, I expected better of these folks.

Hoping everyone who has to go to work or out to shop stays well. I am staying in as I have lung damage from asthma when I was young plus over that 60 year thing. Lots to do with house and yard, laundry will all be done by end of day and getting started on planting seeds for the garden and yard. Hubby now works 7 days on, 7 off. He starts his week off tomorrow. I have his list ready! He hasn't seen the yard or ponds for a week, leaves at 5am and gets home at 9pm so I'm all on my own all week.
Our friends think I'm weird for keeping my freezer and pantry stocked like we are a family of 10! Belong to wholesale club so house is well stocked and I have ordered what we were low on but deliveries are really slowed down now. No more next day delivery from Amazon.
Had tickets for Nascar in May as well as hotel reservations. That's cancelled too.

It's raining today, so I can't work on my pond. Time to start working on another project...a honey beehive!!! I worked my dad's hives years ago when I was a kid and always had fond memories of doing that. I haven't had any since, so I decided to start this year. I ordered a nuc of honey bees from a local breeder. I will get them on May 1st. Today, I'm going to start building my hive boxes.

Hope so, will depend on hubbies schedule. Most tracks do not give refunds. Have tickets for Eldora dirt race in July as well.

I've heard tracks were giving refunds for this. I'm not sure if the track you're going to (Dover?) is one of them, but I wouldn't be surprised if they did.

Eldora would be a fun race!

I know those supplies!

Learn how to treat for mites, they are a horrible problem right now.

They showed the mill kids gathering in huge crowds for st patty day. Asked why with all that is happening with the virus, they answered we won't get real sick so why worry. It was not in MD since all is closed down, think it was VA.

My husband works (approximately) 2 weeks per month in Chicago, and the rest from home here in NC. He was scheduled to be up there until the end of the week, but in light of recent (and impending) travel restrictions, he changed his flight & came home today. His words, describing O'Hare airport: It's like a scene out of some post-apocalyptic movie. There's nobody here. My flight is 80% empty. So weird... (Best thing - it was VERY easy to stay at least 6' away from anyone. He had an entire row to himself, with 5 rows empty in front & behind him on the flight) We are now hunkered down, hoping for the best.

I'm home today and tomorrow. we are still cleaning ponds, it's outdoor work, never go in a house, taking separate vehicles so we are not even close to each other. I need to check syrup on the bees. Plenty in bloom, plenty of pollen but the nectar flow isn't fully up yet. 4 hives is a big plenty. I am also pulling weeds as the ground is soggy. Got 2.25 inches of rain last night, 3.5 inches Sunday night, and the ground is saturated. My fruit trees have already bloomed.

Have to get a new filter on a large pond this weekend, after a cleanup and sealant. That's gonna take all day Friday and all day Sunday. Scheduled a cleanup for next Tuesday. When the phone doesn't ring I don't work. I'm almost out of tea bags and should maybe grab 4 rolls of TP if the store has any but I think I'm good for a month. will shop early in the morning when the store is fresh and clean.

I have plenty of eggs, and plenty of chicken feed to produce said eggs, I had asparagus and broccoli from the garden with my eggs for breakfast today.

this is square foot gardening. Lots of compost goes in there. Onions and spinach are finishing, broccoli is close to finishing, early girl and juliette tomatoes just getting started
