Temps are going to drop and tomorrow's high is forecasted to be 11°F, with windchills below zero. Stays cold for a few days before we see 20°F again, which isn't much of an improvement.

60 F and rain. calling for a fast drop in temps starting tomorrow. No ice yet and the fish are looking for food. I have heaters in for when the ice does come but so far pumps and filters are still running. I'm hoping this will be the first year we don't have to shut things down. I have all cords labeled and color coded so hubby knows which to plug in and unplug.

4 degrees right now with no warm-up in sight until later this week. Winter finally made it to Chicago. I just went outside to plug in the de-icer. This is the first time I've really had to use it... I plugged it in the last time the pond got a little icy to test it out and it got toasty-hot, so all is well here.

Spring Is Coming! !!! I can feel the sun slowly getting stronger ever day now! Soooooo EXCITED cause spring is favorite time in my garden. The weather was even nice today, made it to just above freezing for short time this afternoon!
