What is your weather like ... today

When I mow the taller grass I go real slow to give them time to move out of the way, along with crickets, spiders, butterflies, they all scatter as you get close.

neat mushroom ce I found a few of these in real moist areas

Wow, that's a really unusual mushroom, too, Addy! It's amazing what you will find in the wet earth after a drenching rain ... I think I just never before took the time to look! But, the ones I took pics of, here and gone within about 6 hours, so maybe that's why I've never noticed them before, too!

looks like a wet cheese doodle addy .I guess the guy travels all over and the one I got is over 5 feet tall .I like there were 4 metal guys this year at hillsville and 2 of them had similar cattail art but the other guy was cheaper and produces most of his own stuff .

Wow lots of neat stuff to look at and buy sissy! I like that cattail one too.

addy that does look like a Cheetos corn curl in the first pic. Last one is weird too........looks like honeycomb.

People in my immediate area, within 10 miles of me, have gotten over 6" in the last 2 days. I think I'm more at 4" or so, but not positive, as buckets had 5" of rain, and gauge only had 3" total until today, then another half inch! Hope you don't get bad wind and tornadoes in your area, Sissy! We had nothing dangerous, just lots of rain and I'm sure flooding in low areas.

We are dry as a bone here and no rain in sight. Sun shining brightly right now and we are getting ready to take off for our camping trip soon. Won't be on the internet for a whole week so I'll be wondering what's going on till then. Not leaving till Tuesday so your stuck w/ me for another day or so

Well, hope you have some wonderful camping weather, JW. Funny, you have had rain all summer, we have all been dry, now we are getting non-stop rain, wet weather, you are finally dry. Good timing!

I was just thinking the same thing CE. We seem to have oppositional weather disorder here. Whenever you get sun we get rain and visa versa.

Finally got a decent amount of rain, had a few good downpours. We really need a slow and steady rain though. But at this point I will take what we can get.

Hope the weather is not too bad for you Sissy! Here every thing could not be better for our Labour Day long weekend holiday. sitting by the fire, feels like at least 65 degrees or warmer right now, fire burning nice by pond, sitting on my swing with hubby and nefew, roasting smokies and having a glass of wine!

They keep predicting rain so far nothing, the storms keep missing us. Hitting dc and south of us a lot. Just hot and sticky.

I went from day to night in less than 15 minutes and rain and thunder and bad lightening and it hit a tree in the woods behind me and one in front on the hill and a pic of all my girlie stuff from hillsville and each one was a dollar how could you beat that .My cattails had to take it down because of winds last night and looks like we could get a storm again
