We have been under tornado watch off and on since yesterday afternoon/ Wind is pretty much non-existent. It was blowing pretty good all afternoon until the rain got here, then wind quit, rain started. Rain quit, and wind is still shut off. LOL Pretty rainbow, at least part of one, but my old camera won't zoom, so the colors get all washed out with the cropping, darn it. :-(

Temp here is 62 degrees right now at almost 10 pm. Sitting by campfire in back yard by pond, leaves still green in trees, but that don't mean nothing, green leaves drop off tree all the time this time of year, it starts slowly at first, but then they just keep coming, non stop, by October most of the leaves will be orange and dropping like crazy. :)

I got the cutiest Poppy on Planet Earth.... they say love is blind, but just look at how cute she is!!

I have over 200 hundred of them to download .I did not really buy that much .The metal sculpture was 50 dollars and I bought lots of bath products (the girlie side of me could not resist ) for 1 dollar each .I was out putting the sculpture next to my pond and ordered a bigger one from the guy since he is out of Reidsville NC .The bigger one is 10 feet high and just over 10 feet wide and will have butterflies and dragon flies and a fairy in between the cattails .Cost is great 150 dollars since I bought several things from him the last couple of years ,did not know he was so close .He makes the most beautiful metal baskets that I have given away as house warming gifts filled with goodies and only 15 dollars for the bigger one .

Wow, that is a great price, Sissy! I am a metal art junkie, too. Have several pieces in my yard. Get those pics posted of what you bought!
And, your Poppy is a ham, Colleen!!!!
I was moving one of my metal art pieces yesterday, as it got covered up by the butterfly bushes, and found there were 2 Praying Mantises on it! They posed so nicely for a pic!!! Also saw one on my hummingbird feeder, trying to stay out of the wind on the north side.

Then, beginning yesterday morning, I spotted this huge mushroom evolving next to my landscaping. I found it on Fri., but it was only about 5" tall. It is now about 8" tall, and these pics show how it looked early in the day until just a few minutes ago.

Obviously loving this wet weather! I got right at 3" of rain, but my cousin just 15 miles NE of me got over 6", his rain gauge was overflowing! For once I'm glad I didn't get that much. LOL

Neat you got so much good stuff sissy and yep you gotta share pix when you get them organized.

Neat photo's of the Mantis CE and cute metal flower made out of bike chains. My DH is always trying to think of stuff he can make w/ metal now that he's retired. He worked as a sheet metal worker for years. He's been collecting machine tools to work w/ the metal so he can cut, bend and weld. Whenever I find a photo of an object he might be able to make I send him a copy of it. Hope you don't mind if I send him a pix of the flower?

Cool mushrooms and wonder if any are edible. Too hard for me to figure out tho so I'd better be safe than sorry and not eat any unless w/ an expert picker. We've picked some Chantrelle's over on the Olympic peninsula many years ago and they are delicious. Saute'd them up in butter and yum, yum :D

Sissy, you and I would have had a ton of fun together! I see you are into metal art and things made with wood, so am I! Loved your pics, and is that cattail pic the one that you got? That's huge, and if you got it for that price, I would have taken that small one for that price! Very cool. That would be cool if that guy was at the Covered Bridge Festival in Indiana next month! I would bring home a cattail metal art, too! Thanks so much for sharing.
And, JW, you're more than welcome to give that idea to your hubby! That's the idea, share and share alike! No one has the patent on that flower! Yes, I've seen metal objects made with nuts and bolts and chains and tools and utensils ... I tend to like things that are made with hold metal items recycled myself, too!

Haha, you may be right, Addy! Although, I seldom see a bug or bee on the hummingbird feeder. Not sure why ... maybe times of day I notice, not times they would come. The Praying Mantis is one of my favorite bugs. They are so regal, huge eyes, love to zoom in on their eyes, which are way cool, but this camera doesn't do as well. I've seen so many of them, from 1/2" long babies to this huge momma saw today! They are wonderful bugs, as they eat other bugs, help keep the population down.

I posted this on another link, but have any of you ever seen a mushroom like this before? It came up within a couple of hours this morning, there are about 5 of them in my mulched area by the swing, and now they are already drying up and going away. No wonder I've never seen one like it before!
