its only supposed to be 90 today! and we had thunderstorms and rain last night. Some winds, the news said about 500 people are without power because of power lines blowing down... ooops, good thing its cooled of to 90° and they don't need air conditioning right?

I had a little shower during the night, evidently, as my patio chairs had some water on them. Otherwise could not tell, nothing in the rain gauge. And, looking at the way the storms to the west are tracking, looks like it very well may miss my area totally .... AGAIN. But, what's new?! My sisters in Milwaukee, WI area got hit with storms last night, sister that lives in the woods had several large trees down from the storm. I'll take anything, storm, hail, as long as it produces rain! Cooler right now, though, 86 and 76% humidity looks like.

They are heading this way, about one hour out then more to follow the ones that hit you. The yellow boxes are severe storm areas, the red square is our house, the storms are tracking east / south

I wouldn't want to be anywhere near those storms over there addy! Batten down the hatches!
Was a nice day out fishing today but caught no fish. Still it was nice and warm and sunny and had fun just floating around in the boat. Clouds moving in tomorrow morning w/ maybe a thunderstorm and scary lightning, yikes! I interrupt DH's tv viewing by my loud yells when a flashing bolt makes an appearance followed by a loud boom of the thunder..............sorry I just can't help myself

Addy, I hope you get luckier than me. They said 50-40% chance of rain, this afternoon around 2, radio station said "severe thunderstorm watch until 9 p.m." ... we got nothing. Ho hum ... like a broken record. It was hot, too, 103 at lunchtime. But, tomorrow supposed to be cooler, and Sat. they are saying maybe only 89!
On a good note, I put two one-way valves in my lines tonight (thinking if storms hit, may lose power, and didn't want bogs to drain down), needed to have done that for months. Well, it's done, and in the meantime, I went into both ponds, groomed the lilies, played with the fish and frogs, got truly up close and personal to many frogs. They just sat on the lily pads as I had a conversation with them, pulling away others right next to them. It's like they understood I was not going to bother then. Or, maybe they thought I had a few grasshoppers in my back pocket! I've been tossing some in when I water, and they jump around. Bully gets the big ones, and the medium sized frogs get the smaller ones, and if I am lucky enough to catch a little grasshopper, I've fed them to the babies, who are glad to have the food!
I think if my had was a net, I could have caught most of my fish this evening. Most were swimming next to me, and I would reach down and cup them in my hand, and none seemed to be worried about it at all. Spotted more babies in the goldfish pond, too. :)
