rain, rain, rain and more rain. Geez, I turn on the weather channel and they talk about the drought and we are under flash flood warnings. EVERY pond on the property is over flowing. It's rained everyday this past week, the last 48 hours we have gotten over 6". temp. right now is a very comfortable 72 degrees. Thank goodness we live on a hill as well. The Bottom lands are flooded, But that just allows the wildlife to move up closer to the house. This morning during a break in the rain I watched and counted 11 rabbits, two armidillos, and a small doe in the back yard while drinking coffee. Thank Goodness the pond liner has been installed and the hole is full of water so not having to worry about the walls collapsing nearly as much now.

It is very windy today, I can hear the wind blow high in the trees, don't get much wind down close to the ground cause I'm in a valley.
Should be a nice day otherwise, temp says 79 right now. Had lighting last night, not much rain though, but thats OK, flowers are still wet under the mulch from last dump of rain we had. :)

On my way home from work this morning I saw a farmer taking his corn out. Had some sort of mulcher on the front of his tractor and was dumping it in a grain wagon. Not sure what he was doing with it but I know the field that he was working in is at least 700 ac. Sad sight to see so early in the year.

Thats really very heart breaking to hear that the farmers are plowing the crops under. So very sad... but on a brighter note, had very good time this afternoon at the park with the puppies. Sometimes its good to go for a walk in the nice sand by the river and wash away the bad news and just have a good time. Look at that CUTE PoPPy! And BEAR! Awe, my puppies are sooo cute I could just hug and squish them! What...! there all I have.... Poppy Love :) :) :)

I see doggie butt in the last pic
ops! No looking at Poppy's butt! Poor Poppy, mooned the garden pond! Poppy just won't keep her tail down! I thought it was a nice shot, how she dives in the water head first, to try and catch the stick that didn't float! My little soggy doggy! She must hold her breath! :)

Well its hot today, (90) and I had to drag hose out and water cause that teeny shower the other day just didn't cut it! Too hot for puppies this afternoon, Poppy got her head under the bed for annual afternoon nap, I worked real hard this morning at work, so I think I might just join her! :) :) :)

62F today. Overcast and cloudy. Where is our Summer? I'm looking at my maple tree over the pond and I swear that a few leaves are turning yellow already.

Cool pictures of the dogs!
That reminded me I haven’t taken our boxer swimming yet his year, I need to post video of that, he is so hilarious. He really isn’t built for water but loves it anyway, and you can really tell his protective instincts kick in when you throw a stick in the water, he will not leave that water until he finds the stick, and when he does find it, he has such a hard time swimming back because he tries to hold the stick above the water and his whole body is practically straight up and down and his paddling gets him nowhere in that position. Now I know better, I have to keep and extra stick on hand because he will swim around out there searching forever if you don’t have another stick on hand to show him that it’s been “saved” and he can stop looking.
Sadly, right now, the lake where he usually does his swimming has been drained and the FBI had teams of people out there to make the there weren’t any bodies in it, still searching for two missing girls since Friday the 13[sup]th[/sup].
