almost 50 degrees but now you can feel the cold weather coming as the wind picked up and temps dropped .But really enjoyed my day out ,went to see an expert pond builders seminar and it was really interesting.Talked to lots of fellow ponders and then went to the plumbing supply store and ran into a fellow ponder .What are the chances of that her .My sister loved it now she wants a pondless feature

Nice day for a walk w/some sun peeking through. Where I walked today along the road next to the mountain a few people were out shoveling all kinds of mud and debris that got washed down to their properties. What a mess! Glad I don't live closer to that mountain. One guy I talked to woke up and looked out his bedroom window and saw water all around his house in the back. He was working his butt off all day correcting that problem. He got it solved and said it should never happen again w/whatever he did to correct it. Ma Ma nature is full of surprises tho.

It can quit snowing anytime now! I think we have had enough and I had to shovel and sweep yet again!

Heavy Snowfall warnings issued.

Looks like your snowman has a nice tall white tophat on, Colleen.
Still fairly warm here. The blast is coming overnight, with high winds (30 mph gusts or winds, not sure) and dropping temps all night. I was outside feeding horses and messing with getting extension cords out for pond heaters when/if I need them, and was very comfy in my coveralls. Temps going down to 6 tonight, then continuing to drop tomorrow to -3 tomorrow night. But, right now they are saying 37 on Sunday. I'll take it! Just about 3 days with single digit temps, so we shall see if moving water will keep moving without the need of a heaters. Crossing fingers .... ;)

Yes that is the area sissy. I can see it from our house but it is as the crow flies about a mile away from us. It is made out of more stone than sand tho. The Oso mudslide was real soft sandy soil. Don't think our mountain will ever fall like Oso but it could still have some smaller ones I think. The guy I talked to on the road yesterday said there was lots of rocks that came down but dirt also that plugged up the culvert on the road and flooded all around his house and driveway. No rain predicted for today, just warmer and maybe some sunshine to help dry us up.
