I sometimes think the king has the wrong idea about his size .You should see him when I put sweaters on the chi.'s he tries to get in the mix so I can put 1 of those little things on him .When I get his out he runs away an won't let me put it on him and I will put it down and pick up a little sweater and he comes back to get it put on .He really has no clue .:ROFLMAO:

Same happens here sometimes, too, with the large bed/small dog and small bed/large dog.
My ponds are holding their own, water pumps are working and moving water, and no heaters needed yet. Temps here didn't get up to 20, and it was down to single digits this morning. Tomorrow going up to 26, but then down to 8 that night, and only a HIGH of 8 on Wed. Yuck yuck yuck. I love winter, I love snow, and I love cold ... but I HATE FRIGID ARCTIC COLD! LOL I guess I can't turn that temp up just about 15 degrees and call it good. Darn! Will be up to the 30's by weekend, so we will all survive. Best part is with the cold this time, no snow. Last year we had about 2' of snow, which is a HUGE amount for this part of south central IL. Temps went below zero, and power went out. Utility companies had hard time getting to the lines to fix them because country roads were not cleared yet. So, for that reason, I'm glad no big snows are on the way. :)

I'm with you CE, the arctic stuff they can keep in the arctic but the nice fluffy 32f stuff is nice. The kind you can go out and walk in and not freeze your tookass off.
The rain has left us so I will once again be able to get out into the great outdoors. Our temps are up in the mid 40's and climbing so life is once again good
Sorry for all you guys/gals freezing. Hope it warms up for you soon :)

Well it's 18 F degrees here and once again the pond is iced/snowed over with the exception of the bubblers volcano effect and the de-icers hole. I hate winter...am sitting here looking through my gardening catalogs wishing it were spring!! Can you see the footie prints of the neighborhood cats on top the pond? I sure hope no one falls threw this year like the one that did last year! Granted it was kinda funny watching it happen though (my bad). The pond is still covered since I didnt get a chance to take the netting off before a corner of it froze into the ice...but do have a couple corners open from the netting so the birds and squirrels can get a drink..ok and the neighborhood cats.

Snow Fairy is getting tired of all the snow. It is just snowing so hard that after I shovel, then five minutes later it needs a good sweeping, then I go in house and look out the window and now the front yard needs to be shoveled. After that it us back to the back yard and sweep the deck yet again!! Non stop all day long!

Then I come in a find little Rio Making a big mess!
