You must be getting our weather Addy, we had the same thing Sunday night, rain and tornado watches but now it's sunny and cool. No rain expected for the next week. I have to get into the pond tonight, the storm blew one of my rushes into the water last night. :(

Lots of rain for today!
Oh no T did it dump all the soil out into your pond? What a mess if it did.

Sitting here right now looking at your rain falling into your pond addy. Did you get a new black birdy w/ white spots................he's cool looking! I really like that new view of your pond in camera #1 window. It shows so much more, the fish surfacing, birds flying and all your neat plants around the pond edge.

That neat bird has been there, hidden by the bog plants, now seeable. I did a purge and dump of some of the dieing plants. Like honey says we actually have a pond now lol
I put the camera closer and it looks down and across the water now.

We are up to an inch of rain now, tornado warnings are staying south of us so far. We are getting bands of rain, at one time it was coming down at 3 inches a hour. Just pouring. The pond is getting a good water change over.

Yeah I'm pretty sure there is now kitty litter scattered all over the bottom of the pond. I've got to fish it out when I get home. I didn't have time this morning. Just more gunk to clean out in the spring... Woohoo

Don't worry about the kitty litter as it's actually good for the water and might even help clear algae. At first it may cause cloudiness but goes away quickly.

I have a bunch of spilled kitty litter, where it is on the bottom it seems the pond bottom stays cleaner than the bare liner. I would just leave it, if it was my pond

Good, I wasn't looking forward to getting into a chilly bath later. I can fish out the plant and leave whatever litter is there then.
Most of what falls into my pond gets to stay there, pea gravel, kitty litter a stray rock or so.

1.5 inches of rain, luckily no tornado
