yes, you may be very right CE, I too was wondering the same thing. When she first told me she was pregnant (the day before Christmas evening) I had asked if she took a pregnancy test. She told me she did, but the results were negative. But she claimed that she "knows when she is pregnant" and that the test did not mean anything, and that some people test "false" negitive and she was so very happy and joyfull that I said nothing. Then came June, when she first said that the baby was coming then, and no baby. Then came July, I thought for sure the baby would be coming then! August came and went, still no baby! Then in late August she told my other equally strange but sickly "vegan" sister that she thought her "due date" was 23 September! I can tell you that she does not look really big like other pregnant women I see, they all look like they have a "beach ball" in there tummy, and Bev looks "frumpy and sort of deflated" these days. She told people that the baby had "dropped" and was in position for birth. (I was thinking that "growth" maybe caused her bladder to fall or simething? All I can say for sure is that there is no baby and she was cranky yesterday when my mother went to see her!

Sitting outside in my "woman cave" by my toasty new heater, drinking wine and wondering why she never went to doctor long ago and sorted this out. Nothing I can do or say, she only listens to herself! I think when she "wakes up" she will either fall off the "deep end" and start drinking again, or she will find "God" and start "preaching" non stop!

When does she think she got pregnant? She told you at the end of Dec but did she say when she thought it happened? If she got pregnant in Dec during the 1st part of the month she would have abt 9 months from then. Dec - Sept. She should have had it or it could be she is a bit late which would put it in Oct but no later than that unless she thought she was pregnant in Dec but she really wasn't and then got pregnant later for sure. It is a mystery but if she doesn't have it soon I would really be scared for her. She needs to go to a doctor!

I'm beginning to notice the days shortening. It gets light later in the morning and there isn't nearly enough evening at the end of my day. I have tried to keep an eye on the trees this year since it always seems to go from green to dead without me seeing the in between. I am not ready yet for sweaters and jackets and hats and mittens but I am ready for fires and hot cocoa and Christmas lights. I hate the cold but do love the season.

I am not ready to shovel the driveway every few days, or -10°, or shoveling a path to my frozen pond just to stand there and imagine warm weather and hope the frogs are still alive. :cold::cry:

I cannot wait until March. I can't wait...

My the leaves are sure falling like crazy right now, no sense raking cause they just keep falling like crazy right now.
My head hurts, thinking about sister. She told me on the 23rd of December that she was pregnant. When I asked "how far along" she told me back then that she was at least two months along and showed me a tiny belly back then. That would mean she would be 12 months along!!! If she miss calculated then she would be about 10 months along!! My other vegan sister is taking to her right now and she says she can feel the baby move lots! So if there is a baby she needs to go to doctor cause she is overdue! I have been reading about phantom pregnancy and dogs, cats, wild animals and humans get them too. It feels like you are pregnant, your belly gets large and you can produce milk. Women who have this think they feel the baby move and kick, but it is your body contracting and trying to push it out.
I just do not know, she does not know what is happening cause she never went to doctor. Maybe there is a baby? If there really is a baby and something went wrong and baby dies, she can be charged with "manslaughter" cause she never went to doctor. I have been informed that by two different nurses that I know, and right now in Calgary Alberta there is a case very much the same, where a woman did not go to doctor and was "high risk" and baby died and she may now be going to jail!

Oh wow, that would be awful if she WAS pregnant and the baby died and she could go to jail! I've never heard of that, and not sure that would happen in the U.S., but what do I know. OK, I have to ask, because you never say, can I assume your sister is married? If so, then it's possible she thought she was pregnant in December and 2 months along, but never was, and then like J.W. said, she got pregnant later, and now really IS pregnant, but maybe has some time to go before the baby is due. It's all a mystery. BUT, I can tell you my former neighbor's daughter was 8 months along, and she was a little thing, 19 years old, and you would have thought she was MAYBE 4-5 months along at most. She was very tiny, if I hadn't seen the sonogram, I would not have believed she was pregnant! So, some woman really do hide babies somehow. Not me, I'm too short to hide a baby, my belly stuck way out. LOL Good luck to her, either way. I hope she doesn't go to drinking if she's not pregnant, but I'm really worried about her either way, and the baby, if there is one.

Froze again last night, now that half of the leaves on the trees have dropped off, things tend to freeze faster without the tree canopy. Leaves are just falling so fast and hard, everyday I sweep them into a pile. This weekend is Thanksgiving for us Canadians, time to be thankful. Thankfull cause I think the mice are all gone! Wow did I have a sudden amount of mice running all over, the pond, the greenhouse, and the house! I have traps set everywhere and never caught any yesterday so I think I may have trapped them almost all up. My friend has mice like crazy too, and I think they are getting under the big receiving door at work again, cause I know I could smell them! I have new electronic mouse things that make a noise that only the mice can hear, you plugg in the wall to keep them away and it seems to be working again. The old ones were over five years old and I think they quit "buzzing".
Forgot to mention that last week while driving out to the park I saw a dead rat, sure looked like a dead rat, and this city has had a rat problem last few years. The city always says they "got them all" but then they show back up! Alberta is NOT rat free like they claim!! AND you should see all the really big rat traps they are selling like crazy at Canadian tire these days, they have a whole wall just filled with big rat traps!! Must be a "big" need for them if they have a whole wall of them!! THANKFUL I do not have RATS Yet!!!

Yuk on the freezing. We have leaves coming down as well, not too much or too fast though. I hope you have a peaceful Thanksgiving Colleen, it sure sounds like you could use a break from all the family craziness going on. Does she make a tofurkey?? lol.
We have a lot of people in town this week as there is an annual "Cruisin' the Coast" event here. We get over 8,000 classic cars in from surrounding states and it stays crazy for a week with them driving up and down the beach. It's a good week to stay home.
