Pouring wet stuff and on our way to the hospital w/my sis who is getting a parathyroid tumor removed finally. It only took a year to get this done w/ her lovely new health insurance.

Hoping all went well with your sisters tumor removal JW.
Things have really cooled off the last couple of days. Been having some rain and temps in the mid to high 60's. Today the forecast is rain showers early with overcast skies and only a high of 63 :(.
:nailbiting: EEEEK winter is coming.

Woke up to a thunderstorm this am. Heavy downpours and a little hail. Filled my pond back up. Clearing off now and should turn out to be a beautiful day. High around 80. Need to soak up these nice days now while we can.

OK, its a bad joke... but I suddenly got mice from hell, there are trying to take over the basement and I just finished cleaning the floor cause there was poop suddenly everywhere down there! I hate them mice, and need to get a new mice thing that scares them away with noise that they can only hear. The one in the basement is old and the light on it does not come on any more, so I will get a new package of them things at Canadian Tire, they sell them there and they work good, trouble is the ones I have are burning out cause they are old.

Mice are darn cute and darn destructive. We keep them out if they get in we remove them in any manner we can.

The weather here has been absolutely perfect for well over a week! Temps in the 70's during the day, sunny, and high 40's or mid 50's for nighttime temps. Windows open, no AC or heat needed ... I'm loving it! Some people say, "Where did summer go?" I say thank goodness for only about one week of 90's, I'm happy about that! Couple of summers ago, that terrible drought, we had 3 months of mid to upper 90's and hot sun. I hated that! I'll take 30's over 90's any day. At least I can add clothes and be comfy. No way to be comfy when small amount of clothes still feels too hot. No humidity now, too, which is wonderful.

I have 2 cats and no mice :)

Summer is leaving but still teasing us w/nice days of sunshine in-between. I will take anything I can get at this point. Need to lay some mulch and cut some dead stuff on plants.
@callingcolleen1 do you disconnect your pre-filters from your pump? I don't want to be out there in the middle of winter having to clean them and they do plug up now about once a month and slow my falls down. Maybe during the winter there won't be anything to clog them up as fish don't get fed, plants don't muck up etc.
