Sunny and Hot at 81 and climbing! Tomorrow in the 90's. I will be looking at the moon tonight as we will be clear and able finally to see something up there in the sky. We usually miss everything cuz of the clouds and rain. I noticed last night the moon was very big and bright also.

You DO realize it's a tropical. Let me know if you want to overwinter one or two.
John
Thanks for that John. No, I didn't know that. I got the name you posted and bookmarked that, but I haven't had time to look them up on the web. Are they hard to overwinter? I have some nice big south facing windows and a really good water table I can use if a wet environment is needed. And on that note, if it's something I can't do myself, I thank you for your offer of doing it for me. I really love the way they look, and would love to give them a try.

So hot I had trouble breathing. In the evening it rained hard for about 5 minutes. Very humid the whole evening.

They said it was up to 96 here yesterday. It was Africa hot is all I can say! @JohnHuff next time soak your shirt in water and wear it that way as it really helped me. Soak your hair too. Instant air conditioning :)
We didn't get any of that rain you got John but we had the thunder and lightning. They say today will be full of lightning and thunder that could start random fires here and there even in neighborhoods. Maybe we will get the rain too this time.

Hot and dry as with any typical Texas August. Interesting thing is storms seem to avoid the borders between OK/TX and LA/TX. Meaning the storms in neighboring states fall apart when they cross into Texas. Annoying when that happens.

Also, I moved my Taylor Windscope anemometer to the WX mast

Beautiful and sunny here, way below average temps.
I know what you are talking about FountainMan. The same thing happens to OKC. There will be rain and storms to our North, South, East and West but not a cloud in sight here. They will head right at us and then either go over or under us then once they pass the city, they will resume their original course.
I guess that the weather will keep you on your toes regardless of where you live.

Wow ! Lots of water their Koi Guy! Good thing you don't live their anymore!

Wondering when my sister will give birth, maybe she did already.... who knows with her! I should go see her, but have been busy and her vegan diet drives me over the edge, and I cannot listen to her crazy talk about giving birth alone. She does not talk to my mom or to my other vegan sister, she is a black sheep who choose to isolate herself. I sure hope all goes ok, but she gives me nightmares! Wish she would at least go to doctor and get check up, but she won't, for her or the baby!
