68 this morning and trimming done and ran out of stain so have to go to lowes again .I wish they sold it in 5 gallon size ,but they don't .Plus it is nice to take a rest .I did try to pull weeds but ground is so hard it is impossible ,my fingers hurt .Supposed to only get up to 81 degrees today .I keep my air on 79 all the time .We don't like it to chilly in here ,chi's will be shivering .Plus this house is super insulated .I opened the windows yesterday and air went off because the breeze was just to nice to miss .That's alright electric saved money so electric company can raise my rates .

We were at low 50' this morning. Big storms knocked out our land line, internet, cordless phones, tv's and dimmer switches. Just now bacon line.....geez....plus big branch fell in pond and trashed lilies:(

Why has this July felt more like September than September does? With the exception of a few days this month, it seems like this whole month hasn't gotten out of the low 20's and dipping as low as 8 or 9 at night.... Brrrr! this is a chilly summer. In the 17 years I've lived here, this is the first summer that my grass hasn't gone dormant. It still looks like a May lawn...lol

That's what I'm saying addy. We're usually mid 30's this time of year with humidex readings into the mid 40's (I forget fahrenheit temps. I guess that'd be 90's feeling like 100+).... Heck... let's just say that usually this time of year it's Florida hot here in southern Ontario....lol, but this year, it's been an unusually cool summer. Have there been any catastrophic volcanic eruptions somewhere that I'm not aware of?....lol

Pugle we had an extraordinarily long cold winter here in Illinois last winter, and I think yours was equally cold and long, right? I wondered how that would affect our spring/summer/fall, and it appears that everyone is having a much cooler than normal summer, I know we are where I live. I'm not complaining, I love the cooler temps, to be sure! Last weekend, it was 90 on Sat., 85 on Sunday, and now this whole week it's only getting up to low 80's or high 70's, and down to 50's at night. I love it! No AC being used, just open windows and fresh air. Can't beat that for the end of July! Humidity is way down, too, so it's perfect.
Been riding horses last two weekends, and enjoying that immensely once again. Hoping this cooler summer doesn't mean a freezing cold October! I just hope it warms up again in August ... not that I miss the 90's as I DON'T, but I sure want some normalcy. Also, we have had far too little rain, and the ground is very dry. I just wish I could get a good soaking rain of 1-2". The rains that come are hit and miss, and my property has been missed far more than hate since early June.
