That is good that you gave them a piece of your mind Sissy, I would have screamed too, and told them off good! Wrong Meds could have killed off the hubby!! Like we don't already have enough stress with sick hubbies, but now companies are reckless with the medication!!

Colleen, is that an elephant ear in your pond, and maybe a canna, too? Did you have to bring those inside? I put my canna out, had it inside in spare bedroom all winter, and it was not happy last weekend, the full sun and wind gave it a beating, but it's coming around. Had 80's all week here, full sunny skies. Rain coming tonight, all day tomorrow, but that's fine with me.
As far as things not looking like they are coming back, I have 3 of my 4 butterfly bushes look to be dead, 1 of 2 azaleas not leafing out, the other is blooming; flower crab has literally 10 leaves on one branch, it must have died; of the 2 burgandy leaf red bud trees, one has about 3 or 4 leaves, the other has none. Pretty sure they are both dying or dead. And, saddest part for me is the huge oak tree I moved last fall, was sure it would make it, seems to be dead, too. No leaf growth yet at all. I'll not totally give up on it for another month, but it's not looking good.
I guess that horrific winter pushed my climate at least one zone colder than normal.
What I DO see budding out are the hibiscus I grew from seeds from Sissy last year, and the hibiscus I got from landscape place. Both of them are coming back. Other bushes or plants I moved last fall are coming out back low on the trunk instead of all along the branches. Wisteria is fully budded out, lots of flower buds on it, so it made it. Very interesting to see what suffered, and what made it.

CE, the one plant that looks like an elephant ear is a white Calla Lilly, and blooms big white flowers. It froze the other day but recovered very well thank goodness! The other is a purple Canna and I do not get hot wind too much down in the valley where I live, as I am up close to a big hill and the wind blows mostly up in the tree tops only. The pond is quite protected between the two houses. otherwise it would be ripped to shreds in the big winds we do get...

Sorry to hear about your dead huge oak tree, last winter was wicked here too. my crab apples should bloom maybe next week. Trees as just getting leafs here...

all of my hibiscus are up and my lilac bloomed for the first time this year since we had a cold winter it helped them .Cannas are up out of the ground but ground is still told cold for elephant ears to pop up .My roses survived .I think I lost my purple heart leaf tree .All the fruit trees are fine .Rose sharons all made it .Great day out sunny and looked at my new wifi control for my heat pump that now gives me out side temp and weather and it says outdoor temp is 61 degrees .I am glad I decided to put the new heat pump in .Old 1 was only a 10 seer with around a 6or 7 hspf which hspf is heat and seer is cooling .And new one is 16 seer and 9.50 hspf .This will give us a warmer house come winter .I like that i can go on puter and laptop ,tablet or my new cell phone and look at what the heat pump is doing .I can turn it up and down also and it tells me how much electric it is using and if filter needs changed and if it needs repairs it contacts McKinney heating and cooling and Lennox to tell it that it needs service .I bet my electric bill goes down more since this is 2 speed outside unit and variable speed inside unit .I think chihuahuas are going to like it also .Plus they put a heating duct in my laundry room .I think this heat pump is a lot smarter than me .Checked the wifi this morning and told me it was going to be up to 90 degrees outside today .

At least I will be safe as long as they don't bite the hand that feeds them .My dishwasher is running and I could not even hear that heat pump was on until I opened the closet door to clean the door to get it ready to repaint .Haro just hide if you see my heat pump coming your way .I think it is scared of older people it turned off just after i opened the door .:D

Gosh where did you park that costs that much for a ticket? Did you park in Stephen Harper's spot

We are getting buckets dumped on us right now..............ouch buckets hurt when they hit! Better stop soon cuz I gotta go out and let 2 different neighbors sets of big dogs (3) out today for potty breaks...........................what am I turning into here................I don't even have any dogs and one reason is cuz I didn't like picking up dog poop anymore. Well I don't have to pick it up tho, I just leave it for them so all is not too bad but that darn rain better quit cuz I am one chick that doesn't like her feathers wet and ruffled

If you park in a handicap parking spot here and don't have the tags for it the fine went up again .Used to be 150 dollars and went up to 250 dollars and now they want it to be 450 dollars.I have the thing that hangs from the mirror for hubby and came out of the store with hubby a month ago and cop was righting me a ticket and the tag was right there ,his mistake he thought it was fake because it was 1 of the new ones and they look a little different now that they can't put the persons name or birth date on them .I guess they need to educate the police on them .
