Now the finches are coming in stealing the doggie kibble! Oh what is this world coming to when you can't trust a Finch!! Will the rolly polly Pee Wee notice that the dog dish pickings are getting slim? ha ha ha

Well I slept till 4 am in the morning outside last night on this blue rocker chair by the fire, with a blanet and my feet up in the bench. Drank half the bottle of red wine sitting by the warm fire, with a light mist falling from the sky, under the old red unbrella. Yellow flag grew again overnight dispite the cold, it is just keeps growing and growing and looks nice next to the new fence I am working on. Going to paint the inside of the fence when I am all done yellow or maybe sky blue too.....

The yellow plant is my beautiful Marsh Marigold, it is just looking great

this year as it was a very cold winter, and they always looks stunning after really cold winter! It is raining now and Marsh Marigold loves the cold wet weather too!

It is not the same plant and this plant may not be suitable for you as your weather is not cold enough and may rot over the winter. Marsh Marigold is a Caltha Palustris, and is zone 2. Last winter ( 2012/2013) is did not do well for me cause it was not cold enough so last spring it hardly bloomed at all!

Ok think that is the 2nd link I posted up there under the 1st one. See the one that says Caltha palustris up there. I noticed in reading about it it said it was found in alpine lakes up in our mountains so nope don't think it would work here. Thanks for the info and I'll just enjoy yours

Mitch needs that plant, it says it flourishes under glacier ice and is very ancient and survied the glaciers very well!!

I just got home from a nice wet walk in the rain. Wasn't so bad when I first started out but now I am drip drying soaking wet

I had marsh marigold, it did not survive, too warm here, sure did like it the one spring it bloomed.

Did some more work by the pond this weekend. Got my hummingbird feeder up, got new mulch down, planted some new flowers and grasses and put down 2lbs of wild flower seeds behind the waterfall right next to the fence line that backs up to the county fair grounds. We shall see what comes up...

Ryan that reminds me I need to fill my hummer feeder again as they drank it all up. You've been a busy beaver today!

I have never had a hummingbird feeder so I'm not sure how long it will take for them to find it. My guess is that since its right by the pond they should find it easy.

If they are around anywhere in your neighborhood they will find it. Didn't take long at all for them to find mine. Now I have a few and they fought over one so now I have 3 that I can put out when they really start feuding and going through it faster.
Mines right next to the pond also.
