I can't wait to have some heat here too, this weekend we should get up to 60 degrees!

50 degrees out and it is only 9 am they say headed to above 80 degrees again .

We're headed for 80 too! Some time in AUGUST!!!

The birds are chirling around here too. I got out my Songbird/English translator this morning, and overheard the following: "Mildred, it was YOUR damn idea to come to this frozen corner of hell! So tell me, what the bejaysus are we having for lunch? And supper, and breakfast, and....."

Poor Haro....................we at least are up to 48f now w/ no snow, no rain,no sun, just clouds. They promise later on today it will clear up and shine

I am stuck as stupid cable went out and guy says he will be here in a few minutes and that was an hour ago

44 f., sunny, snow finally melting! Patches of mud and dead grass everywhere. Dredged some crap out of the pond earlier, found 3 tadpoles, very much alive, and several coldfish (no, that's NOT a typo!) hiding among the rocks. Also one slimy, smelly blob that was probably one of the two koi I didn't find earlier. Funny that all the koi would die, while the rest of the animals are doing well, isn't it? I've decided that the spruce beside the pond has to go! Most of the crap in the bottom is spruce needles, and the water is a brown colour. There is NO way to keep the little things out, short of building a dome over the pond. Oh, well. Makes room for a second pond!

They said 85 degrees they lied it is now 91 degrees and i got done mowing the front yard and still waiting for cable company they said a fiber optic cable was destroyed by some one digging without calling dig safe first .

At least it sounds like you are thawing out now Haro even tho you are not seeing what you wanted to in your pond. Poor fish

Well, as it turns out, the limbs on our spruce trees are only a few feet from the ground, so I wound up with my butt on the ground, just sitting there.
Quite a pathetic sight, really...

I'll just wait for things to thaw out.

hogging it ,not sure about that part .I don't mind 80 degrees but 90 degree weather is terrible geeze i even got sunburned working outside today .Noticed all my shrubs have been trimmed by the deer also

Living in the country I never ever gave our fall leaves a thought, eventually they all just blew into the next county. But now since I have the pond, everytime its windy, which is most of the time in the spring, I am fretting over those leaves and muttering some not so nice things as I watch the winds blow them back and forth and into the pond. My water now has a brown tint to it. Grrrr
Rain the next couple days, highs in the upper 40s. We will get down to 19 or so on Friday.
Not too much string algae in the pond yet. Fishies are nibbling on what they can find.

Sissy Fork over some of that heat please!! My ground is still frozen rock hard and down deep, cannot get in garage cause door is frozen still frozen in ice and there will be no digging for a while yet! Only on the sunny side right up next to house is the ground defrosting and bulbs poking up, but front yard will be frozen for quite a while yet!
