68 said rain but nothing and mid to high 70's all next week .Race fans here have invaded VA .Martinsville economy is getting a real boost .

Finished having a fire. makes 35 degrees feel nice and warm.

It also helps that 99% of the snow is gone. Just the sight of snow makes temps feel much colder than it does without snow.

We had a beautiful day here today. Almost 60 and very little wind Spent most of the day outside. Cleaned leaves out of the pond AGAIN...
Cleaned up a small flower bed. Have to get my skippy up and connected. Took it down last fall because I wanted to redo the water fall.
Now I'm racking my brain trying to decide what I want to do with it. I want to get it up and running but cooler temps next week down into the 20s for lows. So may be another week or 2 before I get it going. Fish are getting more active.
Tomorrow we should be close to 70 but very windy. So probably wont be as nice working in the yard. But I'll take it!!!

Haver..you should be fine with getting it going. Water and ground temp is too warm now for it to freeze. I have already started feeding cheerios to mine. Every time I go near the pond they all come up expecting food. Cat tails are starting to grow in the bog already. I was so happy when I saw that yesterday. Helped my dad get his camper dewinterized today. Had to flush out all of that RV antifreeze and give it a good cleaning. He doesn't know too much about pulling that big of a camper yet, 31ft travel trailer with a dry weight of 8,000 pounds. He said that it smelled hot on the 15 mile drive from storage to my house. He didn't turn off the over drive on his new dodge truck. I made sure he knew that it MUST be turned off when pulling his camper. Helped him put up some new LED multi color changing strip lights. Got them wired into his 12 Volt system. Going CAMPING next weekend. Can't wait!!

SPRING the peepers are back.......................they say it going to snow today, still raining lol

It is pouring rain here, pond is getting a great water change. But they are saying snow is coming today.

Well today looks to be a nice sunny day. It is a brisk 30 out this morning but should get into the lower 50's by this afternoon. I plan on doing yard maintenance today with the annual start of splitting my ornamental grasses, yes I am late this year but it's been to damn cold, snowy and rainy to get it done before now. Anyway the grasses are tough and can handle a late split. Well see if I actually get around to doing this or get side tracked onto another task in the yard.

I am just letting mine grow, they are out in big yard areas, won't matter how large they get, unless they get that dead center. It is nice to split I have loaded our yard up with a lot of them all started from one.

For sure, better than all snow! So far we have had 1.5 inches of rain, still saying snow coming, but it won't stick it is too warm here and too wet and 60 tomorrow.

Already 47° and sunny out. Today and tomorrow are supposed to be great, right around 60°... and then we drop to the 30s for a few days...

windy as anything here gust up to 40mph and cold out but yesterday 67 degrees and tomorrow 65 degrees .Wind is a cold wind also .Feel sorry for the people at Martinsville speedway .
