Wow, Sissy, sorry to hear about your storms. Glad you're ok. Nice of you to be able to help your neighbors. Sure wish we could get some rain around here. Got couple of light showers, enough to wet the deck twice last night, but not enough to measure in the rain gauge. How many more days before our next possible chance? :-(

The only problem with rain like this was is that it does not have a chance to get down in the soil to make a big difference .Most of it ran off .I would have rather had a day or two of rain ,but you can't be picky .I'm just glad it rained and really helped fill the pond back up and now i can finish the work i started on it .

Hey Sissy, your pond looks pretty good, and those fish are cute too, don't think I saw your fish before, you got a nice collection. The storm we had a couple weeks ago flattened and bashed some of my plants pretty bad, and I was pretty bummed, but you'd be amazed how quick some can recover! At least now maybe the heat will go and thank goodness for insurance!

Darn storm was north of us, we got the edge and south of us, we got the edge a whole 0.02 inches of rain darn it.

Well still out picking up branches and stuff all over my yard and remember people rocking chairs on the front porch comfy but don't place them in front of windows as they rock and windows are made of glass .Vinyl windows are hard to protect after broken and if it is still raining even worse .Thank you colleen ,I was hoping to not have to do any work on it this summer but after the leaks no choice and still have to get the rest of it done but have to make a run to the lumber yard and they are closed today due to storm damage .I still have to add my mini black elephant ear and my purple fountain grass .I planted all my giant black elephant ear .I just love the sweet peas growing over the waterfall .My tomato plants made it and so did my pickle plants .

Wow we just had a gusher of a rainstorm here like we don't usually see. Kinda like sissy had only not for long and not the horrific winds. Our gutters were overflowing. It was a shocker as it just happened really fast out of the blue w/ thunder pounding behind it! I can now here the sirens going off at the fire station. Hope nobody wrecked up out there and my DH just left a bit ago to go to the store.

We also had a whopper of a thunderstorm around 6 pm yesterday. I was in town working and I think that's where it hit the hardest. Strong winds branches busting off the trees and hitting the windows and building along with heavy rain and hail. Then power went out. I called home to see if we had lost power and we hadn't. Hubby said we didn't get the wind at home just the heavy rain. Tomorrow in the 80's.

We had lightning all around last night, dark clouds, but missed us! Ha ha going to be a nice day! I maybe shouldn't laugh, might swing around and get me later! Just want a nice day, husband saw me burning more evidence from my hack and slash tree trim job, was quite surprised he took it very well, must be happy with all the stuff I done this year in the yard.... rebuilt the back steps, redid the deck, added big cement blocks at bottom of deck for a landing, moved tons of rocks ... he better love me!!

gosh I wonder with the cold front coming through tomorrow we will get another bad storm .Yep storms like that clean everything .Best thing is the after rain smell .

MT I wonder if the weather you got at 6pm was the same storm we got? Ours was happening just before 3pm Pacific time and coming from the south heading Northeast. It was moving fast!

Colleen it could have been the same storm that hit you too! If only I could hitch a ride on those big clouds maybe I could get a free trip and see you all in one full swoop,lol! I'd have to wait for a storm heading back the other way tho to get home...............ha, ha!

All is calm right now and trying it's hardest not to rain. Rained all night and part of this morning tho. Feels like Fall............only 50F here right now.........brrrrrrrrrrrr!

Was worried there for a minute. Went up and just clicked View New Content and all was well! Thought maybe the wicked witch of the west thought I was trying to steal her territory or something.........hee, hee!
