Gee, Lou, do they send you to school to learn how to spell all those long words?
And back to the weather, we've warmed up to the freezing mark, and the pond is half open. I just fished out corpse #10, and by the smell I'd say it's been dead for a while, so I have little hope for the last two! No more koi in MY future.

Bummer again Haro! I would be so sad if that was happening to my fish.Sorry you are having to go through this,it's awful :(
I hope the last 2 make it. If they do you could keep them and just add some goldies to the mix.

My brother is there, too, JW, and he's rooting big time for the Sea Hawks! I hope they win myself, everyone seems to be cheering on the Broncos. I have friends in Colorado, too, so it's a toss up. I'm not much of a football fan. No one to watch games with, and I'm not that much into sports by myself. I'm a "group" watcher. LOL
Temps here are hovering right at freezing, getting light rain/freezing rain this evening, but then supposedly after midnight the temps raising, so by morning it's supposed to be all rain. Feel sorry for those out at high school ball games this evening, as the roads may get VERY slick between now and midnight. Deck was wet when I went out after I got home from work. Temps still in that "see-saw" mode. I heard 40's then also single digits for the next week. Geesh ....

Staying in the cold here. Hoping February would bring us normal Feb temps. So far extended outlook says no.
Currently 11 degrees F. Snow expected overnight and windy tomorrow.
News said last night that our underground frost was double what it has been the last couple winters. May be slow to defrost this spring.

Big Lou glad you are feeling better.

Haro bummer about your fish. Fingers crossed for the last 2.

Sick of the cold and the snow, Enough of that fluffy frozen cr#p already!! I am so tired of the same old forecast. lows down to minus 24 Celsius or Minus 11 below Fahrenheit by next week, so nothing to look forward to except maybe that Fat GroundHOG on Sunday!

Sorry JW but I am with Denver, great things are happening down there and I am sure it will be a very "smoky" bowl ha ha ha. sure to be lots of hungry people with the munchies! he he he ;)

Wait, we don't want him to see his shadow, right, cause if he does, then it's 6 weeks more until spring. Or, is it the other way around?
I got up at 7 a.m., things got wet overnight, but not too much rain. Ponds are more than half thawed ... again. Then, looked outside and it was getting darker and darker. Now it's raining. Wish I had gone out and fed horses when I first got up! Shoot. Looks like I will be feeding in the rain now. :( Good news is all the pink (freezing rain) and blue (snow) is staying just to the north of me. :p Ground is still frozen, but loving the rain, just hope not too much, as it will wash away the top soil in the fields if get too much or too heavy. I'm sooo picky, I know.
