Work, work, work while it is raining down there and when that warm sunshine parts the skies you will have all the free time to play addy :cheerful:
I looked at home on your camera's and it looks dark and cold there. Pond bubbler is making a nice hole in the ice.

We are up to 32F right now and climbing w/ the warmth of the sun :claphands:
Got a lot of gardening done yesterday and will do more today. I even had the front door wide open yesterday to let in the warm rays of the sun.

Temps are dropping here now, and what I shoveled several times already (only because Yukon keeps begging to go out and play in the snow ...) is freezing on the sidewalk, the slushy stuff and what is blowing over it. Yuck! Took a few more pics of the snow, and Yukon doing his favorite thing, eating the snow!
Koi pond has large opening, thanks to heater, goldfish pond running under the ice.JPGPoor birds ....JPGYukon loves to eat the snow.JPG
Goldfish pond is still open, with heater underneath the ice. And koi pond has large 3' opening, with another heater floating, tied to the other side so it doesn't float to the edge.
goldfish pond still open ....JPGTied heater so doesn't lean on liner on side, although there are rocks there, too..JPG

Lou, what do you mean Green Bay's field is heated? Isn't it an outdoor stadium, with no dome? That doesn't sound very heated to me. Brrr ..... my niece went to the game, several extra layers of clothing, plus heater thingys for her hands and feet.

Up around 32 F. most of the day, cold to come back overnight. Saw something floating in the hole opened up by the de-icer, around noon. Dead koi, an 8" Doitsu oghon! My first loss since getting back into koi almost two years ago. DAMN!

I was referring to the field. According to an article I just read "the ground at Lambeau Field has been heated since 1967 when the franchise installed electric coils underneath the playing surface to keep the ground soft in frigid conditions.". Would be nice if the fans could be warmed. :)

Sorry Haro you have lost your fish. Hope others are ok.

Currently -5F and wind is really howling now. Expected low -17. Wind chills around -35. Schools are all closing for tomorrow due to the cold temps. I cannot remember the last time that has happened.
At least we are not dealing with the snow. That is a good thing the way the wind is blowing or we'd be drifted in for sure.
The dog and kitty are in the garage. Its 60 degrees in there. Horses are in the barn/shed non insulated but at least out of the wind.

... Mitch said he is running out of wood and we are tired of freezing to death. I suspect Mitch left the "Door" open this time! ha ha ha!

Never mind my little weather thingy (says it's -22). It's -12 here now and warming up.

ha ha ha, that is funny Mitch, cause last week something went wrong in my greenhouse and the heater quit, and it got down to minus 7 or 8 C and some of my jade plants froze a bit, and a couple other things looks really bad... :skull: :skull: Some stuff is coming back and is recovering, but the greenhouse was overgrown and needs to be cut back anyway.

Yes JW, don't you worry about us, we will freeze just fine up here :cold: .. so you just enjoy your early start to spring! :bye2:

CE you got a really big hole in your ice compared to me right now! Looks like you fish should be just fine, but must say your ice appears to be a good inch or two thick! Looks like my bottom pond in a way, cause my bottom pond always gets lots of ice and the top two ponds have just fairly thin ice that recedes quick once the weather warms up.
