83 degrees in NH today and the pond hit 78 degrees!!! Needless to say, we (myself and my neighbor's 8 year old) enjoyed playing in the pond (moving rocks) and having the koi nibble on us...they are too cute and curious!!! I did cave and bought a UV light and now I have clear water, which I'm very thankful for. Our house is on a garden tour next month and really didn't want to be stressed about green water!

Darn, that sucks, ISCD. I talked to a friend from Benton, and they have not had hardly any rain, and yards there are very dry. I guess we have had good amounts of rain here.
Now that it has rained, still raining light rain, perfect, I will need to keep my new wildflower bed watered so the seeds will sprout. I figured no need to water it until it rained, then keep it up nightly under it's going well.

Started raining here now and isn't supposed to quit for several days................dad blast it! I want my sunshine back! Got things to do. Need to find a spot to dig for planting the Hibiscus Larkin gave me in seed form last year that now needs a permanent home. Will put one in the pond and have one in the bath tub pond but still have 6 left and I read they can get quite large. So come back dry weather please B)

Raining here too but might clear up to just cloudy later on today. It's a bit windy also and not very inviting for a walk. Then showers off and on tomorrow. Might clear up some by the weekend :fingersx:

I got 1" of rain Sun night, but we needed it. Filled the koi pond to overflowing, which flows into the stream and down to the goldfish pond, which then was about 2" above normal, so had to drain it down. Need to fix a permanent overflow for when we get rains like that. Keep forgetting about it until the pond overfills.
70's yesterday, 80's today and tomorrow, then back in the 90's on Thursday. Going to be at my cousin's pool Sat. and Sun. so hoping for hot sunny days. :)

We received aproximatly an inch also. The benefits of this rain are hardly noticable now in the garden and yard. Pond is still filled and water is clear as can be. Really need more rain. As for hard rains i will need to come up with a way for any rains that are 2 inches or more I may be in trouble with back wash into the pond. It has been a while since we have seen rain like that.

Thats part of the reason I had to build a raised pond as the property behind my house goes up hill and it is all pasture land for cows and with the heavy rains and all the woods behind my house being cut down .I guess logging is needed but they took some of the trees on my land they had no permission to touch and it leaves more area for stuff to wash through
