What is your weather like ... today

You know where I see lots of honey bees here is on the blooms of those Sedums. They just flock in masses on those things and Sedums are so easy to grow. They flower into fall also. You are doing a wonderful thing there addy in trying to bring bees to your area. I hope it all goes smoothly for you and you can explain everything in detail to us all if you want to as some might want to take on the same project on their own properties.

Gray and cloudy here right now but on my little weather site it's telling me sunshine will show it's face soon and no rain predicted for days :claphands:
Looks like I will have to water my newly transplanted trees by hand and that is just fine w/ me!

I'm wondering how sissy and her husband are doing. Haven't heard anything from her lately.

I have a bunch of sedums, moving some of the ones around to make even more. I just looked them up they are full of nectar. And not a long tube the bee can't reach into.

Still gray and cloudy here. Not currently raining............. change that started coming down again, We are having JW weather, wet wet wet

Worries about sissy too, she has been off line, hope things are doing ok for her.

Yep, I keep checking in to see if Sissy has posted on any of the threads I follow. Said a few prayers for her and her hubby while I was working outside yesterday and again this morning.

THe weather here has been cool, and frosty at night now. We can barely manage to get to 50 degrees at the peak of day. Pond is very cold and fish are not moving much these days. CE, Big Lou, wish I had your longer growing seasons.

Worked to death all weekend, must have put out hundreds of pumpkin pies, now we are almost all sold out! Thanksgiving weekend here, and the customers have piled back in our store door now that the strike is ancient history... Fresh Baked in Store Dinner Tray buns, pack of 12, On sale for $1.98. Had a hard time keeping the shelf full of them today. We have these little stickers that we put on the products that we bake in store... I joke about getting "Baked in Store" and we all have a good laugh! Then I was carrying too many fresh baked Apple pies and dropped one on the floor, still in the box, but no longer sell able... those go out back for "quality control testing" ha ha ha ha!

Sissy, I miss you and hope all is OK and hubby still hanging in... Please Dear Lord, save Sissy's hubby and make him well again!....

This morning and early afternoon the weather was beautiful. Sunny and not a cloud in the sky, temp got up to 59. Then about 3 the clouds rolled in and temp started dropping fast .

Oh ma ma going to get down to the 30's tonight! Better get out there and roll my palms and New Zealand Flax in the garage or bye bye overnight to them all! Was nice and sunny this afternoon once the fog burnt off and addy you can keep all our rain that you need for a few months if you like. We really don't need it right now thank you. I am enjoying your sunshine. Thanks for the trade :banana:

Come on, Addy, give up your secret for trading weather with JW. I'd like to do the same. :boldblue: My last rain yesterday didn't even register in the rain gauge, darn it. Next chance mid week .... Will be watering morning and evening the newly sowed grass seed I put out today. Thankful I have 3 really good wells on my property. Temp was up around 70 again today, little breezy, but sunny all day again. I can really get used to this fall weather. :blueflower:

The trees started changing last week, but not many yet. I love the vines that go up (and usually kill) the trunk of trees and then branch out on their branches. Those vines turn deep red, and stay that way for a long time, usually until the tree they are on drops all it's leaves. I've noticed those vines are red, and a few trees are turning yellow or orange or red, but maybe only about 10% of them so far. I'm hoping for some pretty fall colors. What about by you, Colleen? Trees changing or losing leaves?

The trees down by river are mostly green still, about 20% yellow, and they are old cotton wood trees. The trees in town are mostly all yellow now, about 75% and they seem to be Birch and Elder I think.

We also got the Virgina Creeper vine that grows nice up big tree trunks and Turns red in fall.

Another beautiful day in paradise. Weather is saying 71 and mostly sunny. Heading about 30 miles from home to State Park (glad it's not a Federal park!!!!!) to go horseback riding with the two neighbor girls. We will take sandwich, drinks and snacks, and make a full day of it. Here are a couple of sunrise photos I took Sat. a.m. Beautiful one again this morning, too.

Freezing here at only 28 degrees, but if you think that is cold, I see poor Mitch in Water Valley is really cold at only 16 degrees!! No Wonder the wild animals stay close to his house! They are cold too and want inside!! Ha ha ha

It's about 50 here and heading up with the sun shining brightly. I know pretty soon the temps won't be as nice. In fact, they moved the rain from Thurs. up to tomorrow! Saying 70% chance of rain, not thunder storms, so maybe a long soaking rain all day ... I can at least hope! Then highs will only be in the 60's and 40's, but that's still plenty warm for me for fall weather.
