Good for you sissy building him up strong and lets hope his blood count goes up and stays good and no more bleeds. Sounds like you are doing everything right and hoping w/God's help he will make a full recovery.

After a nice warm day yesterday with lots of sun, today woke up to overcast skies. Was raining hard for a bit and power cut out for a moment. I see some blue sky in the distance towards Arlington way, but overcast and dark here!

We have had very nice weather for us, considering it is October. Sun is shining, right now it is almost 69 degrees. It could be so much worse for us this time of the year, we could have snow and very cold, so I am very grateful for nice water to strike.

Today we vote, and tomorrow we should be back at work, cause the contract now is much much better, we should get a raise instead of a pay cut, and much more! The union is only as strong as our bond, and in our store of almost 400 employees, only two union people crossed the picket line!! Wow with numbers like that, and a vote of 96 percent in Medicine Hat and a vote of 98 percent in Calgary and Edmonton, it is hard to beat that into the ground!! We brought the company to its knees! The fresh food like dairy, bread, meat, and produce, much has expired went into the garbage!
Union people are uprising all over, and customer support has never been so high! No longer will the super rich walk all over us and abuse us!! This uprising has given our unions a new breath of fresh air, the winds of time are changing!!

Union People all over Unite and stay strong! If we can do it so can you too!! It is our right to Strike and together, ONLY TOGETHER, we are VERY strong!!!

Now I must go get that last fish out of my sisters dirty pond and rescue it!! Her pond was so dirty I had to do an intervention and save them poor fish!!! She says she has no time for her pond now that she has a new polish boyfriend!! Good for her, time for her to be happy and have a good man, and travel and finally enjoy her life!

Wow, that's awesome, Colleen! Go to you and your fellow union workers. I'm happy it worked out so well and so fast!
I just got a proposed contract for my job. I'm happy with it, as it has small raises twice a year for the next 18 months. Our last contracts were for 3 years each, but for some reason this one is only for 18 months. That's ok, I will sit back and see what happens after that, and am happy for raises. The attorney I work with is not union, only the "support staff" are, and she has not had a raise for over 5 years. Her paycheck is lower now than it was 5 years ago, with higher taxes and health insurance costs. So, I'm very lucky and happy, too.

Tonight we voted on a much better contract. The strike was wildly successful! Never ever did the company negotiators imagine that so many people would walk out on strike. In the beginning, company negotiators were very arrogant and overly rude, and they were also very delusional! They thought that lots of people would cross the picket lines, boy were they ever wrong! Our store employs over 380 people and only two from our store crossed the picket line. I would bet good money that they are now wishing they never crossed that line, only to find themselves all alone and now with no friends!! The company brought out the big company negotiators, and flew them all the way at the 11th hour from Ontario. It is said that the company negotiators were locked in the hotel conference room for days, desperately trying to negotiate an end to the unexpected strike! The company has even locked us out of the store! But the tables have turned and the strike is over! Glory Glory hallelujah! Our union met them at the conference door, with a load of "44"! And they ain't going to run us down and beat us into the ground any more more more!!!

You will have to excuse me cause My head is still slightly swollen and I am full of union party pride!!

So very happy to have a union to fight for our rights! Large store chains tend to be very greedy and walk all over the little poor workers! The unions are gaining strength and now even Walmart has a union store in Saskatchewan! Laws are changing and this is just the beginning!! GO Union Walmart workers! fight for your rights! That store really under pays it's workers!

I worked medical for years, in a decent hospital that actually cared for the workers. Well paid good vacation time. A private hospital. Since I retired it has become a cooperation, joining forces with other hospitals. Might not be as employee friendly now. Hospitals don't do well as stand alone anymore.

Way to go colleen, I have never been union but it is good for some jobs.
Hate to rain on anyone's parade, but I HAVE worked in a union shop, and the only workers they were GOOD for was the ones who didn't want to work. Got sick and tired of having to work harder to make up for some lazy ba---rd who preferred to sit in the corner and read his paper, or spend seven hours a day on smoke breaks! All the union did for me was help themselves to their 'dues' every week. Sorry, Colleen, but you sound like a hard worker, the type who really doesn't benefit from a union.
