I hope you easterners get a good shower out of the storm that pushed east from here on Sat. I sure enjoyed all the moisture it left in it's tracks.
Yes, Fishy, that's a great idea for planting the tree. The fact the bottom of the hole is all clay, it will hold any water I put in there anyhow, and since no rain predicted until weekend, I'll probably fill it with water and see how long it takes to soak it up, before planting. That way I'll know how often to water it after planting. My sister says to cut the tree down, plant a new one, save the bog, but I'm more daring than that. I have to try! It is an "original" tree to this property, and I should have moved it when I dug the pond. Right now, not sure why, unless I had a vision it would stay that small! :blueflower:

tropical storm Karen got within 100 miles of the house, maybe got 15 mph winds and a .0001 inch of rain, then the cool front came through, got more wind and rain from it than the T.S. maybe 20mph winds and ,0002 inches of rain. Honestly I think this has been one of the driest spells we have had in a long time. Rain keeps showing up all around us but not much here, even having too fill the mud pond and the catfish pond with hose water to keep the water levels up enough to keep them going. But it's nice to be down in the 50's at night and 70's to low 80's during the day.

Looks like it will stay dry here. Lots of wind but all the rain is to the west and north- we need rain! Maybe if I go out and turn on the sprinklers we will get rain.

And we may have reached a tenitive deal in the strike. We may be back in the job by Wednesday!! The store is falling apart without us and customers are complaining of empty shelves and total disorganiztion. The Bakery manager trying to operate the Tills, and the old bread is piling up fast!! Together we are strong, and the company is being brought to its knees!! Tired of working to death and not getting my breaks!! Things are going to change!!

Getting lots of rain here now. Don't need to water the transplanted tree anyways. I'd rather have to water the trees :cheerful:
Oh well we will just go to Costco and sample our lives away while it pours out there :banana:

well hubby's non stress test is done and I complained about the snack and drink machines in the room ,come on hospital salty snacks and soda and 2 kinds of water that said contains sodium ,at least that is what the bottles said .Not one healthy snack in any of the machines ,pretzels chips of all kinds salty crackers and dark colored soda's .Not one bottle of juice .I let them know too ,boy did I let them know .I was mad .There are healthy snack companies that have and service vending machines .I complained in the emergency room the day I took my hubby too .I googled them and wrote down all the names and took the names off the vending machines that were there and checked there snack machine choices and the company that has machines there offer the healthy choices in the machines also .I just got off the phone with the hospital about it also .What are they trying to do make people sick while they are there getting better.

Woohoo, Addy got rain! Glad to hear it. I was really excited to get the inch I got, left puddles in the yard, but it all eventually soaked in by the next day. I would appreciate some more, too, but right now, not a chance of rain until at least Sat., and by then, it will be probably moved to Sunday or Monday, if recent forecasts hold any weight. Oh well, my ponds are both full, and that's all that matters!

we will know on the 9th about the samples they took when he goes to the heart doctor .We will then get all the read outs from the non stress test also .So keeping my fingers crossed .Lou .Not sure but his hemoglobin dropped again and is down below 9 now .I just hoping it would go back up since I have been feeding him all the foods on the list to help build up his blood supply .Plus he has been drinking the special shake drinks we had to buy .
