I think your barn and the other pic that is focused on close, but you see soooo much in the background are great examples of what will win at your Fair! Go for it, and keep us posted what you entered, and what you won!
Taking pics is yet another passion of mine, second to my ponds, and landscaping stuff. People tell me the same thing, so I walked around the pics at our County Fair this year. Not sure I want to mess with the time it takes to enter each pic in the necessary category, but it sure was fun looking at what others had entered! My goat to enter at State Fair is the cross stitched Christmas Tree skirt I made for myself, and the one I'm making for my son ... which won't be done this Christmas, I'm sure, but maybe the following year! :blueflower: They, too, are a labor of love, lots of time spent, nothing in return but seeing the smile on other's face when they see the creations!

If you ask my hubby, he will tell you I must have starved the fat puppies and they were just trying to feed themselves! Ha ha ha.

warm and humid for the next few days, supposed to be 90 tomorrow....yuck! Did I ever tell you that I hate the warm and humid weather? lol

Started out nice and foggy and cool so went out to rework the path by the pond w/ rocks and some stepping slabs. Yesterday I did the hard labor of removing many loads of excess dirt in the hot sun. Hot sun came back today before noon. They lied and said it wouldn't be here that early. Now it's flat and today put some rocks around the edge of the pond dirt berm to hold it in place till the ground cover sedum can extend their little feet down into it. Added the stepping pavers and some stones I had laying around. Now I need more stones to fill in the gaps. I need some sand too but think I should have gotten that first. Oh well I can work around it somehow.

Just gather the stones slowly at your own pace, as you find them, and before you know it you will be done! I am already admiring you stone work!

Weather chart shows sunny, but completely overcast. The sky is completely gray. The clouds are coming down to the low hills and becoming mist or fog.

Thanks guys and yes it was a wringing wet drippy job out there in the heat. They say it will reach 80 today after the fog breaks and tomorrow might be up to 90..............and that is pretty much unheard of here in Sept. The 5 day forecast says in the 80's.................what a grand farewell to Summer...................or will it really ever leave us...............oh wishful thinker that I am

JW, summer not going to end, the grass will always be green and a nice bubbling stream to run threw my dreams, under the sunny blue skies! Oh how I wish too that summer will never end!

Going to be nice weather again, no frost in sight, should reach 80 degrees today here in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada!!

Yep the pond projects go on forever but my back can only take so much pain! Found more out on my walk today but will need to ride my bicycle at night to pick them up in the forbidden zone. That's the gravel road where the kid pulled a gun on me so I must be careful he does not see me. Don't worry its not far from here and he does not own the road. I just try to avoid him whenever I can. I will see him in court at the end of this month.
