Big Lou, Thanks for the offer of help, but I always have trouble with computer, but I am learning more all the time just "playing" with the computer. My Nefew helps me lots and someday I will get him to help me get a video posted of my ponds on this forum. Some day I will have it all figured out.... :)

The weekend weather was just great, no big storms to bow all the party ballons away, but I had to take all the party ballons down today cause they were "Popping" loudly when the hot sun came out, scaring my poor Poppy! Party was fun, hubby had a good time, and no big bad weather here to report. Weather was perfect, temperture was around 80 degrees today, for a while this afternoon we had a big black cloud but it missed me for the most part, just a little thunder and rain, but hail was reported in the other side of town.

great here nice and windy so windows and doors open to dust out the house .I got a call from my homeowners insurance out of Maryland and Brothern Insurance is doing homeowner inspections of the homes they insure .Never had that before with an insurance company .He called and said he had several in Danville and mine out here .I guess they are not taking chances .Even wanted to know why there was no mortgage company listed for my home .Well because there is no mortgage .

We have had a few homes inspected on a random basis, one rental we had to fix a few things they deemed unsafe ow they would cancel the policy.

I wonder what they will say about my pond being that it is out front and not protected .My neighbors do have children but they are over 150 feet from my house or more .I was thinking of fencing that part of the property to keep there dogs away .Plus I will have to take king arthur away because they state in there policy that they will not insure you if you have a pit bull .I told them i own chi's .I lied a tad bit but they don't know my king is this friendly .I think it is unfair but what can you do .I had the policy for years now .

80 but not too humid, supposed to get 85 today with a 30% chance of thunderstorms around 6pm. Doodled in the pond this morning, had to repot 4 of my Lily's because of nosey fishies. So now there is kitty litter all over the bottom of the pond :( Anyone know if the fertilizer could hurt the wildlife? I had just fertilized them again last week, so I'm sure some of it spilled out onto the pond floor.
OH!! And anyone got an idea how a small crawfish could make its way into my pond?!?!? Found him while I was repotting a lily
Maybe that's what they were after

Fishylove, do you have a small creek nearby? They can travel a little ways to get to water. I had one in my pond one year and in the fall it decided to cross the yard to nowhere and died.

The fish should be fine, mine have tossed kitty litter and granular fertilizer all over before. One year they spawned early and made a mess. You might get an algae bloom, I didn't but it might happen.

any one been keeping up with nasa's reports on the suns magnetic field flipping .I actually happens every 11 years and i have been reading about it for years now and now they say the next one will be in 3 or 4 months and could really effect the earths weather patterns this time .They are really watching it close this time .I remember that last one when they were slightly concerned but seems like this one really has them looking close at it .Makes you wonder .There was a story on a show years ago and how the earth pattern changed and was interesting ,seems they have better monitoring equipment now .Is our future a big question mark

I wouldn't mind having milder winters :).
High in the 80's today and no rain. Hubby was outside yesterday working, he had a red hat on and could hear a hummingbird flying around and then he said it landed on his head, would of loved to get a picture of that.
CE our fair is this month too, in a couple weeks. I don't go to the rodeo any more. Since I have grandchildren now I go with them on kids day and ride the rides and then we go look at the animals and some of the exhibits.
