Man tons of rain here all day. It will be a month before I CAN GET INTO THE GARDEN! Cant even mow part of the yard because i get the rider stuck in the mud! Rain stinks when you get to much of it at once. You watch we will not get any at all in the summer now.

Been a cloudy and rainy day. High of 50. Went and picked up our new washer and dryer that wasn't cheap. This morning we bought our very first pop up camper. Very excited about it!!
Hmm ... sounds like W & D were for wife, and pop-up is for Dad! Of course, both items will benefit the whole family. Bet you can't wait to go camping. Hint: Camp the first time in your driveway. That way, you figure out all the things you forgot without leaving home. :cheerful:

Currently 39 degrees, supossed to go to 72 degrees later today. Leaves are starting to pop out everywhere, the cottonwoods and other big trees will take longer to leaf out, but just to see some fresh green leaves on the choke cherrys and lilac trees is like a breath of fresh air!

My favorite place to sit and have coffee in the morning ....

Beautiful, Colleen. I can sure understand why you love that little nook for your coffee time. I see lots of plants that surely had to come in and out of the weather a lot these last couple of weeks. Hopefully now they can stay outside for good.
It's raining here again this morning. I just hope we get some good rains also this summer, not dry up like last year. However, last spring, it was VERY early, farmers had all their corn planted by the first of May, I think, or most of it. Usually need to get it in the ground by June 10, and last year was over a month early from that deadline. This year, water standing in fields, some look like lakes! Fields around my house are probably 1/10 covered by water, and they are pretty flat, but even, so the water runs off better, I guess. Fields that have lots of low areas are covered in water.

Yes, I love that spot, it may be small but it is cosy and I did it all myself. Last year I built new steps and fixed the deck, after the bad puppies had chewed the old lattice sides out years before. Puppies tired to eat my house too at one time years ago.... I used to joke that the Puppies ate me out of the house, and then, they ate the house! Ha ha ha

OH, man, just not fair. JW. You get cold rainy days when you want to go for a walk, and now you are hauling wood and stacking it, and it's hot and sunny! That would have been a good task to do on a chilly cloudy day ... not rainy, just cooler. Ho hum .... so goes our weather! I just hope we get some of this rain when we need it in July and August.

Yep. W & D are for the wifey, but also for me. We got a new HE LG top loading washing machine. It doesn't have the agitator in the middle and you can't set the water level. The machine determines the water level based on the weight of the clothes you put in it. It checks each load before the cycle begins. We will get rebates from the power and gas company too because they are energy star rated.

The pop-up is for us, but I will get more use out of it than they will. I will tow it with me on my weekend fishing trips and not have to worry about being cold or hot at night. Its a larger pop up that has queen beds on each end, outside storage, a awning, roof top AC unit, fridge, heater, lots of storage on the inside and lots of sleeping room. We pick it up tomorrow after I make a trip to the bank to get the rest of the money out. Lets just say our tax return has been well used this year and we still have a bit more coming.

I just love all my succulent dishes. I plant all my succlent dishes in shallow large clay saucers with lots of sand on top of the dirt. I have many succlent dishes now, and I keep them over the winter in the greenhouse where they do very well. Succlent dishes are just great, they don't require tons of water and I make miniture gardens with little things in them.

This morning was just lovely, made coffee and sent my sweet hard working hubby out the door. Yesterday he rototilled the garden and serviced the lawn mower so that is good to go.

Currently 45 degrees, going to a whopping 78 degrees today!! Sun will rise today at 5:51am, and will set at 8:49 pm Right now out on the deck ....
