Just reading all this sissy and sure hope your little Popeye recovers fully from his ordeal w/ that bad dog....................bad people actually, not the dogs fault. You should not let them get away w/ this this time since the dog was aggressive towards you. File a suit against them for all the misery and costs they have caused to you and demand that the authorities make them fence their dogs in w/ a strong fence. You may not get any money but it will call attention to them and be another bad mark on them and maybe eventually the law w/ force them to behave!

rite and looks better today but olive oil misses him she keeps staying over on that side of the pond where he last was .I called a couple of offices today .Neither one of them work and they own 2 vehicles ..The welfare food stamp place took all the info I had to give them .They won't tell me anything but gave me a code number that gives some type of reward for turning in fraud .I guess they will let me know what they come up with

I know, SnOW! But at least it melted away quick, although still cold!
The choke cherry trees have a few small leaves, and the lilac trees are starting to get some leaves now too, but very very late!! I should have leaves on the big trees above the pond by July at this rate!!!

Fish are mad, they think winter is coming back, and are some huddled back up this morning!

Not having any snow but got a little hail a day or so ago. Has been too chilly yesterday and today so far for me. The sun comes out but wind was blowing and makes it feel so much worse! I agree Colleen, winter won't leave me. Dark clouds threatening to rain on me then sun and it is a fight to the finish. Weatherman says sun will win!Only 45 now.

Now that wasn't funny the weather we had today at all. Started looking really nice and said to myself, it is walking time. Got all ready to go and BAM.............it started hailing to beat the band. Waited and waited till it finally stopped and clouds parted and sun shone through. Got out there about a mile away and BAM the hail started up again. Stood under a big fir tree till it stopped again finally and went on to finding medium size rocks to stuff in my pockets on my merry way home. Even found one of those cool fungus things that stick out on the sides of trees. Must have fallen off when the power company sawed down trees in the way of power lines this winter. I have two of those suckers now........aren't I the lucky one :cheerful:

Post a pic of the fungus thing you're talking about, JW. Sounds like something I would pick up, too.
It was 82 or so here today, supposed to be same tomorrow, then just little cooler. Now they are saying mid to upper 60's after that for the following week. Water temp will go up these few really warm days, but the algae really took off today, too! Yikes!!! Had to clean out skimmer baskets because of the floating spongy stuff. I went ahead and netted any that was on the surface of the ponds, and some of it was coming from the bottom, when it hit the surface it went to spongy looking. I'm hoping for warm days to get the plants really growing well, although bog plants are sure taking off, and then cool weather to starve off the algae until the plant can catch up!

JW maybe one of the werewolves from the "twilight zone" nearby, ran quick and knocked off the tree fungus!! :) ha ha ha

Tonight better be the last cold night for spring!!! OR ELSE!!!! Currently only 28 degrees, just took out the large recycle container to the back for pickup tomorrow. It was full of leaves and stuff from the flower beds out front. I was working under the street light, so cold I could see my breath in the damp cold night air. It should get slowly warmer as the week goes on.....

Tonight I got some nice pictures for "show and tell". The roots of my big yellow flag iris, the plant is a big root ball the floats in deep water. You can see how I have the underwater light shinning up, and you can see that it is really floating!!

One is about 10" long and the other is about 8". I will only pick them off the ground if I see them knocked off the trees. Think they look neat attached to the trees. I don't know what the actual name for them is so I just call them a fungus. They are hard feeling and not soft like a mushroom and won't rot.

almost looks like a petrified pumpkin pie j.w. on the weather front here it stinks...we had two awesome days of 70's and one 80 degree day now were back to rain thats suppose to mix with sleet/snow tonight...this is about enough of this and is in no way indicative of our normal spring like weather! Suppose to get back into the 70's next monday/tues but crimany we gotta put up with cloudy windy crumby 40' and 50's for the next 4 days. At this rate I'll never get my fish off of the porch out of their tank!
