Wow I think the rain stopped! Still I don't trust it out there so think I shall clean the fridge and fold the laundry and work my arse off inside today again. My sister is moving up here and her and her son will be staying w/ us till they find a place to live. Want to have it nice and clean for them, fool them into thinking I'm a great housekeeper..................

Cute, JW. You could easily fool me, too. I agree, cleaning my house is the last thing on my list to get done, but my dogs don't mind at all. I'd much rather be outside, even in the rain like yesterday, doing anything and everything, than sitting in here. That reminds me ... time to head outside and get those Asiatic Lilies planted. I could NOT pass them up ... growing and ready to bust out of the bags they were in. Got total of 14 tubers or whatever they are. Going to plant them where I can see them from deck. I know, I know ... like I need anything more to plant! :blueflower:

raining here and glad for the rest .I scored a great deal in NC and got pella sliding doors for my morning room and master bedroom for 295 dollars each and new pella storm doors for 119 dollars .So they are installed now .I was amazed at how fast I took the others out and put the new in .My son helped with the lifting other than that he is like huh ,what and OK .Then the lawn work and all the weeding got left so had to catch up on that .Got my lawn limed just in time for the nice rain we are getting .So rain is a nice relief .Sold another whole batch of the high dollar baseball cards ,so they were packed up and guy came 4 states to pick them up .Nice fat check for the bank .He bought more than he came for after he started looking at what we had .He wants to come back also but had to get back because his daughter is getting married .Big wedding too geeze in this economy too .

Think cleaning house will be my goal for the day as well ... beautiful outside, but have the house to myself today ... hubby is working, and the kids are all out too (2 working, one out LOL) ... that all means no one in the way LOL.
I could never ever work inside here on a sunny day as our days like that are so few. I don't care how much it needed cleaning it would just have to wait till the next rainy day and I guarantee you it would not be long to wait!

Hi Sissy looks like you scored big time on the doors and selling cards and hope you had a nice rest from us posters squawking on and on about everything under the sun or in our case under the rain!

The doors were 495 but my sister in laws bought also so he made it a package deal .Lots of over stock stuff since there is not much building going on .I thought about buying triple pane windows for the back of my house since they were so cheap and he had my sizes .I have triple pane in the front of the house since it gets all the wind .What a difference in the sound the doors make when you close them a nice sound thud . .All new caulking and and wrapped all the openings with new seal tape .I took my other stuff to habitat for humanity and a win there ,they had boxes of LED light bulbs and picked up 20 of them at 3 dollars a piece .Got all my caulk there also 2 dollars a tube for the good stuff .They had some really nice stuff there that was donated .I was like a kid in a candy store .I got out of there after spending 200 dollars .I could not resist the deals .

Welcome back, Sissy! Wow, those are some awesome deals on Pella doors.
I planted, dug up and replanted other stuff, and tried to make one of my flower beds "even". I've been in the habit of buying 1 or 2 of things, and plopping them anywhere. Now I'm trying to organize my beds, make them look like they were more planned. Since I had people that wanted some of my hostas and sedum, it was a win-win for me as well! Stuff I dug up and didn't need will be sent to it's new owners tomorrow! What fun! I'm tired and sore, but that's how I like it this time of year.
Was another cloudy drizzly day, but I worked on the east side with a west wind, so stayed relatively dry ... until I started pulling lily pots out of the ponds to divide. Almost fell in once! LOL But, got it all done, and nice packages of plants, lilies, and so forth will be on the way tomorrow. I sure enjoy sharing, but now I'm done for the year.

Addy- will try to send it back your way. It started yesterday afternoon and hasn't stopped. I really need to get outside and get some more things painted and finish the stock tank rebuild.

Pulled grass from 1.5 beds. Back started hurting too bad. The camera is always upstairs when I need it. Saw a colorful humming bird early today. Happy surprise, son is coming over tomorrow! Great dad and son time. ( have a happy day y'all smile )

PS: My "emtiophrases" sure are fun to tailor to my posts.
