How did the bubbles go down in your pond ce ,everything settle back in fine .Supposed to get to 52 degrees today and then colder saturday and sunday and then back up again .Who has the weather yoyo ,put it down put it down now .In the summer heat you wish for wind ce

Geeze we had snow falling here today also but it never stuck and temps going up to 50's. They even had late start on schools about 20 miles from us. Need to start mowing the grass here soon. Some around us have already started. I like to mow but mowing an acre seems dumb and a waste of time and money. Wish we could dig it all up and just have gardens and trees but the man doesn't like that idea

The weather is acting up here, too, guys. just not as severe. Still, I'm sure it is having an effecgt on my turtles, who can't figure out if they should be digging a hole preparing for sleep....or trying to strech their limbs so they can start moving fast enough to catch a minnow meal. Turles don't start warming up till 58 degrees, and it's back down in the 40's at night. Me, I don't care, can always adjust with a blanket...just worry about the effects the weather has on my animal friends.
Yesterday, I workied outside in a long sleaved sweatshirt....today shorts and teashirt. Supposed to be in the 70's sometime today.

It won't be long before I am as miserable in the summer weather, as some of you who are dealing with miserable spring weather. :blueflower:

Sissy, with your help, the big bulges (there were 2, each about 1'x2' at least) went completely down by the day after I called you frantic my pond had emptied down to the milk crate! I added about 8" at a time, starting with that Fri. night when you called me. By Sat afternoon (3rd fill) the bulges were completely gone, and by Sun evening the pond was filled back to full. All fish are present and accounted for, like nothing happened to them.
Sounds like your weather is heading this way, Sissy! I heard it's supposed to come from the NE this time, and our winds with cold usually come from the W/NW. Usually when the east is mentioned, it means bad storm. Either tornado, hail, sleet, anything abnormal is coming. This time, it's dumping some snow on us, and hopefully it will all melt when it hits the warm ground (50 for a high tomorrow) and melt! Not supposed to get here until Sat. after midnight, then snow until Mon. a.m. We shall see ... I'm secretly hoping it all misses me and my area.

The Washington Post has reported that ground hog Punxsutawney Phil from Ohio may be extradited from his lair in Pennsylvania to stand on charges in Ohio. Authorities in a still fridgid Ohio, charged furry Little Phil with a misrepresentation of "spring". Punxsutawney Phil is currently in hiding!

We got about two inches of snow yesterday. Currenty 25F with a high of 38F today. Extended forecast for this coming week, the day temps will be getting a little warmer each day.

It's 37 here so far this morning, going up to 50 with mostly sunny skies. Perfect day for a 5K walk/run (walk for me) on the Trek Trail near Effingham, to benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation. My cousin's daughter and her fellow nursing students are putting together the event, in the hopes of collecting $6,000, which will send a local child to somewhere he/she wishes to go! I'm sure they will make their goal, and probably then some. We shall see. Tonight, not such a good forecast, snow coming in after midnight, calling for 4-7" before it's done on Mon. a.m. I'm hoping it misses this area altogether. Temps tomorrow hovering around 32 all day. Yuck yuck yuck!!

Massive hail storm this morning. The ground is completely covered. Too lazy to take a photo.........Cathy said all the hard surfaces got "power washed"! LMAO

So bright out there today it's hurting my eyes. Only in the 30's but we have hope for 50F if we are lucky. We're not often lucky tho :razz:
Made it home from my walk yesterday just in the nick of time. Was sunny the whole way and walked in the door and WHAMO it started hailing but it was still sunny out there w/ a few clouds. One of those clouds must have been following me home trying to get me. Found a big long 8ft or so driftwood type looking piece of wood on my walk and carried it home from on my shoulder switching to my hip. Sucker was heavy but worth every bit of my sore shoulder this morning :razz:

supposed to be 54 again today and looks like we may only get rain and was watching the weather channel and lou seems lots of people are getting hail.Cloudy out but still good to get some yard work done and now for a hot cup of coffee to warm body and soul up and guessing jw thinks tea or maybe that light is warming her up enough :razz: :sun_smiley:

jw is into drinking hot chocolate and fruit juices diluted w/ water and some lemon juice added to ward off kidney stones..............oh and lots of our wonderfully tasting well water :razz:

gosh went out to take pee wee and it is 67 out .I get my weather from Roanoke as that is the nearest weather station .They have one in Danville but i don't get that station

Almost 60 today! Tomorrow we are supposed to get anywhere from 1"-7" of snow!!! :grumble: I am so tired of this winter and the start to spring hasn't been any better. Hopefully Virgil will miss us tomorrow and tomorrow night, Go North!!!
