It was 28 here this morning, and the ice that formed on my waterfall wall yesterday from the high North winds looks like this:
Ice formed from the wind and waterfall.JPG
There was a slight skim of ice in the middle of the pond, but nothing that won't be melted by this afternoon. Temps going up to 50's they say.

Last night it was 66 degrees at midnight.....so I opened my window and fell asleep to the wonderfull sound of falling water running into the pond. Waking up to birds singing and looking forward to the sunshiny day. Today is supposed to be in the upper 80's. I get to enjoy this for only a very short while, and honestly don't know if I can really enjoy as much as take advantage of....beings there is alot of work to be done before the 100's are here to stay. And, that's for a very long time.
I lived in Oregon for awhile and what they have is Fall, Winter, Spring and August. What we have is Summer and a couple chilly months.

Always slept with my bedroom window open when I was a kid. In many parts of our country these days sleeping with your window open may result in - 1. Having a empty house the next day. 2. Waking up butt naked under a freeway overpass.

It wasn't raining this morning and was kinda warm out, not too bad at around 50F so decided to take a walk into town. Never walked all the way before. It's 12 miles round trip and I wanted to see how it felt. Was fine going as it was some flat and some downhill at the end. But coming home it started raining and the downhill on the way there turned into the uphill on the way back. Needless to say I will be needing the magic fingers of my massage chair tonight :kruecken:

Empty house next day....could learn to live with that. Waking up butt naked under a freeway overpass.....would take empty house any day!
A house is nice to have :blueflower:
So is 68 degrees at midnight....gotta take advantage of that open window night time air again tonight. I have a couple of gates, and a dog who loves me alot, standing between me and that open window.
And a Correctional Officer to the left of me, a Sheriff on the right and an alarm security system in the center of it all! Nighty Night :goodnight:

A chilly 26 this morning. We hit 54 yesterday but with the wind it was more like 24! Got my fines filter set up but I guess i'm not the only one who wants to see the fish. Had to chase a redtailed hawk off the edge of the pond! Needless to say, I fought with the netting in the wind but got it back up.
Starting our new setup for the 2 150gal. stock tanks. Moving them back from the pond so they are out of sight a little.
