So if it says zero warnings, that is good?

Oh, ok I get it. It's like a fun kinda 'thumbs up' game for someones post that was liked. And I think I figured out how to stay caught up with this fast moving thread. If i go to my email first and click on any of the "What's your weather like...today" emails, it takes me automatically to the one that was posted after my last entry. At least I think that's correct...unless I just got lucky today.

I looked out the window and saw the sparkle of the sun dancing all over the waterfall.....it's 60degrees warm and my leg feels GREAT, today. I saw a hummingbird taking a bath. so cute, standing on the edge of the rock where the water spills over, he just spreads his wings and flutters them while the water gives him a bath. Geese...I'm going outside....to watch birds and dragonflies.

Haha, I used a "Like" for Big Lou's post above! I think we should be able to "borrow" likes from those who never "like" a post. It's not that they don't like the posts, they just don't show their appreciation like some of us do. I guess it's from using FB and getting to "like" what someone else wrote, instead of saying, "Oh, I like that!"
So, with that said, I've never heard of getting a bad warning, so I guess I've always been good, huh?! My outdoor thermometer says it's 45 here, but weather.com says it's only 39, so will see what my banner shows when I post this. (Hmm ... it says it's 35 here ... guess no one's thermometers are in sync this morning ...) Very sunny, no wind, got the flag untangled and back on the pulley at the top of the flag pole, and walked my pastures sowing pasture mix on top of the snow that is left. Hoping the seeds will sink into the mud when the snow melts, and then sprout next warm spell we get! Will keep cows and horses off until it's going well, probably by mid or end of May.
P42S, you better get outside and enjoy those temps! Sit down and keep that leg elevated, though. I'm soooo jealous of your temps! My ponds had a skim of ice again this morning, cause I shut off the air and water bubblers. Bogs and stream are still running just fine, though. Wish I had hummers around already.

It may be getting up in the 60's during the day but it is still down into the 39's and 40's at night.
and that is sooo cold when you are laying on a wooden bench, in the middle of the night just to be by the pond youve not got to see for awhile. and, well yes that is what I did last night...till about 2:30am. The only time the Goldees come out to play is at night.
But that's not all I saw, and before you start thinking i'm joking, don't laugh because i'm serious. I swear i could litteraly watch the strings of algae grow longer and longer. i can't stand that stuff even if the fish do enjoy their dive and hide games playing in it.

Yep, I'm being stingy in my likes today, so far have used 2, and didn't get told no more! Glad you have no rain, JW. P42S, I can believe you saying you were watching the string algae grow. I swear it grew a LOT every day last spring. Hoping to not have that problem this year, but once pond cycled, it was all gone. Either the peroxide got rid of it, or the plants did. I'm thinking the plants sucked the nutrients out of the water the algae needed, and it starved to death! Hoping to have Skippy filter up and running again soon ... froze up on me again, so patiently waiting for warmer temps to get it running again, hopefully keep it running this time. It does NOT like temps below about 25 at night, so will have to wait a while.
P42S, once your pond warms up and you can feed, your goldies will learn to come out during the day more. All my fish are trained to watch for me and the food when their water gets and stays above about 55 degrees. And, right now, the goldies are somewhat active under the thin sheet of ice, but the koi stay put. Since there are a few goldies in the koi pond yet, I saw them swimming around, so it's not that the goldfish pond is warmer, it's the FISH!
