Never enjoyed going to the dentist but it will be ok I think. Makes me nervous and I had braces as a kid and the pain sticks to my brain

no kidding, my dad was afraid of the novacaine (great dad just read too much side affects) , most of our work was done without. I hear a drill and feel pain even if there is none.

Tiny bit of snow, tiny bit of rain, just cold............30 right now

We got a dusting here and no ice and it was all gone by 11 am and I guess that was due to temps being in the 50 's yesterday and att midnight it was still in the 40's .I got my air plants today and they are now bathing in my spa tub .No jets on just a little water for them to soak up and he even sent me some of the living moss that grows there .Got lots of pups too on them .Will take pics soon .Another flower opened on the dolphin plant .

Neat looking plants, those look like the ones that are growing on some plants down in florida in our yard. I will have to gather some up next time down there.

Those are cool plants sissy. I don't know a thing about water garden plants...think I may have destroyed the lilly plant I got when I went to get the Goldees. I'm still gonna hope for the best and see what happens. I just really need to get some fast growing shady plants before too long. I'm gonna see if there someone on craigs list willing to donate. I'm flat broke since the leg injury put me out of work for a bit.
But I sure am enjoying the warm sunshine today! Gets pretty cold at night still...in the 30's.

These only grow indoors here and are air plants they don't really need much more than a misting once in awhile but after there trek from Florida they suggest you soak them .They were 20 dollars for 15 of them .He sent me some nice big ones too .Do you have any bodies of water around you pond42 as most plants from streams and other bodies of water are great as long as cleaned good will work .You can some times get cheap ones at pet stores .Do you have free style online as they list free stuff also .I got lots of plants from around here from ponds and streams .You could post on here also maybe there is some one near you willing to share the green with you .

well, there is the mighty kern river, but the ones who can afford to live next to it have done exactely that. I could check out some of the parks and along the bike run, see if there is water flowing through yet. that's a good idea, thanks. I read somewhere to soak any plants taken from the wild in a mild bleach solution for a bit, before intriducing to the pond. Good? or no?

I use peroxide it is safer for plants and fish .I clean them in water and peroxide and and trim off dead stuff .How about parks or garden centers .I know several big gardens here that sell plants for a dollar or two .But it is cheaper here because of the economy house are dirt cheap .Saw one yesterday a little work needed on 3.02 acres for 15 thousand .
