Went down to the pond tonight....like I do everyday when I get home from work and I saw our Lime ear slider out and movin around.

What is your temps right now? A little cold for the turtle to be out and about? Do you have a high wattage heater? Cool looking turtle by the way.

The pond is about 60% ice covered ranging from 1-7" thick. Our high today was 47F. Way above normal for central Iowa. It's normal for turtles to still be moving during the winter time, they just move super slow. No heater in the pond.

Very nice warm wind, 41 degrees Fahrenheit but it's going to drop off fast later this afternoon, some cold Arctic high pressure moving back in. So much for spring coming this week ....

Currently 43 fahrenheit, very, windy, things blowing all over, trying to take down the Christmas stuff outside in all the wind. Things are banging and flying all over right now! Winds gusting to 52 k/h, so that would be around 32 miles a hour...

It is nice here today plenty of sun and 44 degrees! Had some visitors as well at lunch. Sure wish i had a camera handy. A mother fox and her pup (kit). Sure was a cute little guy. Just cutting through the yard.

Was so blasted windyrainy here last night I thought we'd blow away for sure! Lost our power at around 6:40pm but got it back in about an hour so not too bad. Now it has been trying to snow but too warm so keeps switching back to the darn rain. Have a cold front coming in so maybe there is hope for some white stuff tomorrow or Friday.
