I think it dropped about 25 degrees in a 15 minute period between 5:00 and 6:00. Now it's 51 degrees. Still higher than the average temp of 43 degrees for this day. back to realty.....

It was high 70's this afternoon, and within a very short time dropped about 10 degrees, but still was around 70. No rain here either, although we honestly could use some. Farmers are in the fields for heavens sake! This is unreal! I think last year they were planting in early April. they seriously could be planting now if they wanted to take the chance. Will be interesting to see how many try it! My daughter says 70's in March means 120 in August. I sure hope she's not right!
BTW, I've still left my snow fence up, just in case of any late decision by Mother Nature to unload some snow on us .... I'm doing my part I say!

Expected to be 80 today with some rain. We had a huge downpour yesterday. I hope no rain this weekend. Heading to the river for some camping and fishing for Crappie. :profile:

They are calling for rain here, big blackness to the west/southwest of me ... we need the rain, pretty dry for this time of year, but I want to finish digging my pond. Better just get out there and then it can rain! Oh, wait, maybe should get the liner in, too before it rains, let the rain fill it. LOL Windows and doors open! Woohoo, I'm loving this weather.

they keep saying rain but so far we have gotten none and would like to get some as I just put down 50 bags of lime and 25 bags of fertilizer and 3 - 50lb. bags of grass seed .A little rain would be nice to get it down in the soil but no it has been in the higher 70's and low 80's here .The only good thing is that we have had some heavy dew on the ground in the morning .

we are so far ahead of schedule on the weather here. i dont know what to do. it came on so fast. and i'm afraid it just cant last.. from 40s to 60 - 70* overnight. my lillies arent showing any life yet nor anything else except tulips are growing and showing buds. day lillies are breaking ground. no pond life except string alge. i didnt clean up or leaf net the pond last fall again. so its a mess again...i was just too lazy! could have worked on it today, but no..never got around to it!

my lilies are growing like crazy, even buds coming up. Leaves breaking the surface. Tulips blooming, trees blooming, on and on, this is what should be happening in mid to end of april

laughing koiguy! I had a bunch of some huge leaves the size of two of my hands no clue where they come from. They blew in during the winter, no snow to break them up. Come from west of us, over 300 yards away

after what i went thru last year....i knew better...i gotta lose the "putting things off" attitude. i already had the pond drained most of the way, filling the basement pond. lazy! lazy! lazy!....and it just makes things that much harder now!
