Here in sunny Israel, we're beginning to dream about the first rains (usually no serious rain here between March and November). But the weather is slowly turning toward cooler evenings, and every now and again I feel a breeze that speaks of autumn.

Thanks for reviving this thread, JB!
Here in Cincinnati, rains have been splitting north and south of us for the last 2-3 weeks. Yesterday we got about .6” and I was thrilled! I guess last weekend (a week ago) we got a total of 1.25” over 3 days so that’s perfect. Hate hearing about people getting floods in their areas, when other places are begging for rain.

Still cloudy w/some smoke and had a teensy bit of rain. Not enough to stop the fires. Should clear up here later today and air quality will be better. We need a good dropping of the wet stuff!

There's some flooding in nearby rivers. We ended up with about another inch on top of what I said last night. The yard somehow never flooded. Unfortunately, a large branch snapped off my willow tree, so I'll have cleanup to do on the weekend. Wish it would've broke clean off. It's still hanging on so it's a bit dangerous. No damage done otherwise. I think it brushed against my peach tree but didn't damage it.

We had tornado warnings across southeastern Wisconsin today. Potentially as many as 6 or more tornadoes in the area, including one really nearby if it does indeed get confirmed as a tornado. The weather wasn't too bad out my window. It did get a bit windy and the power flickered a few times, but other than that, not too bad. No tree branches down or anything.

Glad to hear you weren't directly affected JB! Tornadoes are the scariest...

We went from hotter then normal to colder then normalin 24 hours. About a 30 degree drop.

We went through the same thing here. We tied November's warmest temp ever (77°F) last Thursday and then dropped to 30's either Friday or Saturday and that's where we're staying. It was only a matter of time before Winter took over, and I think we're there now.
