I COULD do more on my car but I figured I do so much already myself, I'd leave the crawling under the car stuff to others, despite the cost.
Totally agree, hubby says gonna fix the car window and I say nope call the service peeps. I just set up service on my Kubota, small hydraulic leak from a hose, oil, filters etc change. They come and get it and bring it back all power washed and pretty!

one should ALWAYS have a purty Kubota...should be one of GPF's 'isms'.

Almost anything in general chat can be a free for all. Now I would not totally take it over but some playing is fine. Since it is not a poster asking for help. And if the OP's thread is being played in , by the OP also, go for it.

New posters, even old posters, can get frustrated if their thread is taken over and they don't get logical answers or help for their issue.

Here we are waiting to see what snow we get tonight. They are saying 4-6 but we might get more might get less, never know until it is over. We are right on the edge of the 4-6 and the edge of the 1-3.

Hey, all! I’m thrilled this thread is still alive and well. I think this is the 22,460th comment! Holy cow we all love to talk about the weather.
I’m in Cincinnati OH now, and we also had a very warm Christmas and New Years, but last night brought on teens for lows and colder tonight. Oh and Sunday Dave and I went to see the Bengals sneak by the Chiefs in a playoff game. Yay!
I’m going to Fairbanks Alaska with my daughter the end of this month. Yesterday the daytime temp was -25! Holy cow what did I get myself into?!? I see much warmer temps by the 23rd when we go, above zero F will seem warm compared to -25!
We are going to see a dog sledding demo, igloo bar (maybe drink out of ice glasses!), and have a nighttime (9:30 pm - 2:30 am) chance at hopefully seeing some Northern Lights. My daughter says we can sleep during the day. I confirmed we won’t be sitting out in the snow during those hours, but will be in some sort of a hut with drinks and snacks and games to play to pass the time. Oh and we are staying at a hot springs hotel, so lots of soaking in the hot springs she tells me.
My pond is free of ice still, everything is running. Hoping to keep all pumps running all winter again, like last winter. The only danger will be if we have an extended power outage. The bog/waterfall pipes drain back so all should be fine.

Thanks to you we have this great thread! Sounds like you are really having a lot of fun, enjoying your new life w/hubby by your side. Hot springs, how neat! Glad to hear your pond is running fine.................gotta get a generator for just in cases as that really helps us here when we lose power

JW I was shocked to see your snow!!! If I remember correctly, you don’t live far from Puget Sound, where my bother and sister-in-law have a condo on Bainbridge Island. I didn’t think it was common, if at all, for them to get snow. ❄️ ⛄
We have lived in our home in Cincinnati for 2 years now and no loss of power … but there’s always that first time, I know. We are going on our “half anniversary” cruise in Feb. That’s when I’ll worry, having someone else here to watch the dogs and pond. Hoping we have unseasonably warm temps here that week.

It is kinda common here to get some snow each year. Sometimes we can get a ton and you never know which parts of the western half of the state will get it and when. We have very fickle weather when it comes to snow here. I love it tho, a lot don't. It does not stay long usually but people don't know how to drive in it here, most anyways. My old Subaru that I still have did well in the snow but it is on the no drive list as it has bumpy, jumping up and down issues and we don't drive it hardly at all anymore. Time for a new car but prices are high and good cars hard to find now. We mostly drive hubby's big Dodge truck. It is a beast to me as I feel like it hogs the whole road if I drive it! I feel I will crush all around me,lol!
If you have people that will watch your pond and home things will prolly be fine. Enjoy your anny trip

We got dumped on w/rain and now sun is trying to peek out. I think I will enjoy the sun for awhile and the snow can come again later. Temps up to 45f. Feels good!

@addy1 just looking now at your cam windows and seeing all that gorgeous white stuff there.
Looks so pretty and hope you can just relax and enjoy it

Hey, Boss; think I found out where your heron is lurking; pic #4, to the left of a blue pot...trying to disguise itself as a snowman or something...better put a net on your deck...oh, and tie it down as you know it can lift nets now...:);)
