So, No body posting weather and I know some areas are having extreme weather right now. Checked our deck temperature after hearing the weather man say to be cautious about walking dogs in hot weather. Our deck now requires shoes!View attachment 140597

Never thought to check it, all I know is we could not walk on it. We hit 106 heat index. Actual around 94

We just went up to 102f here in Arlington, Wa. Supposed to cool down to the 80's tomorrow.

You guys can keep that hot weather out there on the west coast hasn’t been that bad here in the east. Getting into the low 90’s but not that bad. @addy1 and @mrsclem didn’t seem that bad around Annapolis today.

@Jhn: This is not typical summer heat wave here. Last three days have been all time highest temps in recorded history for PDX, each day hotter than the last. Finally cooling off.

I try to stay away from really hot places like Phoenix or the Middle East, so I've never experienced anything like it before. Everything is dead silent. The birds stop chirping. Not even the bugs make any noise. There was a blue jay in my yard this morning panting. Neighbors found a coyote hiding in the shade in their back yard. Sprayed him down with a hose once an hour until it cooled off enough for him to head back to the forest.

Definite cool down here today right now at least. It's only 71 but later it creeps up into the 90's. Still way better than 110 which our temp gauge said for the grand finale yesterday!

we hit 105 heat index. 95 actual.

We are heading to the boat in annapolis prob by thrusday. Got most of the main honey produced processed. Still 7 boxes to go but it needs to dehydrate a bit.

And I think cooling down by then and rain............

Well from 97 to 72 in about 2.5 hours, and rain!
