We were a warm 38 this am and raining....................... our main nectar flow just started, our honey harvest will be pretty poor this year. Work on bees here all year for our 6 weeks of nectar flow. Oh well, no control of nature...............

You guys and those storms batten down the hatches and stay out of harms way!
No offense @j.w I'll take storms over the antifa and other bs your having to deal with out there these days. And when bowing pulls out I fear the worst for Seattle.

@GBBUDD fortunately we are many miles from Seattle and do not ever darken their door. We live out here in the boonies and enjoy our little piece of Heaven.

it's been like a yo-yo so far this 'spring'; had 80+ last of March, then back to sub freezing at night, then a week later, near 80 again, now, back into DAYUM cold at 46F! Well, at least the sun is shining...been getting rain but that's normal for this time of the year for Mich. And it was a bit dry, so I'm not complainin' about that. Just wish it would go in one direction, not two...sigh.

38 F. this morning, rain mixed with a few snowflakes. SNOWFLAKES!!! It's almost JUNE! 90 F. a week ago, had the AC on,, and now the furnace is running again! The Water Lettuce was doing EXTREMELY well, now I've had to bring them inside to the goldfish rearing tub. Mother nature must be on drugs!

So much rain here in the last 2 days, ugh! Perhaps today will be brighter, I hope. Nothing will stop me from my walk or ride!
So back off Mother Nature

From 90 down to 50 and rain rain rain rain Which we needed so no real complaints, But we also did not go to the beach which will be nothing but wet.

No cicadas have arrived! I found one squished one on the road. None alive no noise, in the woods it is tree frogs with maybe a mix of cicadas but they are staying in the woods. We hear them but far away.

34 degrees at 6:30 this morning. Last week we had a day or two of 90! My wife has come out of retirement to help at the garden center four days a week, they are THAT busy! Saturday morning saw dozens of customers coming in for replacements for plants killed by frost the night before. Frost again the last two nights. Fortunately, all of ours were covered, and the Water Lettuce and Water Hyacinth were all brought in to the goldfish rearing tub. I imagine all of our cicadas went back into hibernation for another 17 years! Of course, I wouldn't hear them if they WERE here.... I lost the ability to hear that high pitch from years of working in a noisy factory.

The cicadas out in the woods have been quiet for the last 3 days. too cold. But can hear them firing up now. So far have only found a shell from one.

So this is what all the hoopla is about? Kinda sounds like when I walk under the power lines here in the rain!
