Well, I must say, that picture makes me appreciate my pouring rain, wind, plummeting temperatures & tornado watch. Definitely not ready for snow yet!

It's so strange seeing snow this early. I'm still a little speechless about it. Never seen snow like this in October before. We usually don't even see snow like this in November very often. It feels like I fell asleep when it was October and woke up in December.

We got about six inches of snow yesterday. I shoveled the sidewalk and driveway for the trick or treaters - I don't remember ever shoveling snow and leaves at the same time! We've definitely had snow on Halloween before, but they say we set a record for accumulation.

The snow on Halloween had everyone all worked into a lather over the kids having to go out in the snow - HOW WILL THEY SURVIVE?!?
I tell you what - we didn't have anywhere near the number of visitors that we normally do, but the kids we saw were having a grand time. It's Halloween - the kids are just all about the candy. People (I'd say parents but I saw just as much social media angst from people my age) need to take a deep breath. Humans must be hard wired to do a certain amount of worrying - when we don't have anything important to fret about, we get all twisted about dumb stuff.

No kidding!

We had none, but have a long dark driveway and the rain and wind was coming.

After almost 4 months of non stop 90 degree weather in west Virginia finally a break from the heat and drought. A quick rain and the colors on the trees exploded

Still have snow on the ground this morning north of Chicago. I have a bit more to do outdoors before we settle in for the long winter so I'm hoping we get a bit of a warm up here later this week!

My temperature thing appears to be stuck on 32 degrees... but so does the weather! I guess I'll figure out if it's actually working once we get a break from the unseasonable cold!

It's not working. Mine was stuck on 52 forever. I don't think these things are compatible w/the forum software here. I give up. Is that correct @Ian ? It's 28f here right now and partly sunny.

Oddly enough when I go back to my signature page, it's updating there. It just won't update on my actual signature. There it's showing 40 degrees, which is correct. Here it's stuck on 32.

Said we were to get up to 50, but sure didn't feel like it. Chilly morning, but no rain, so was able to yank some annuals and empty some planters.
