@BarbO it's real sad looking images we are seeing up here of your state, I just hope for everyone that they can rebuild and find relief. I saw that nearly two million chickens drowned, and I can't even comprehend the clean up that farmer has to face. I am fortunate as my home is on elevated ground, and what we received from Florence, is barely a drop compared to what and your state received, honestly seeing some houses down there undamaged is quiet amazing. It is hard to see friends suffer after a storm, as they lose so much, and personal loss can never be regained.

My niece headed back home yesterday morning and found out their home cannot be lived in and they lost everything .Not sure what they are going to do .I gave them a list of places in Rockingham County NC that I found they may be able to move too .He is a veteran and was injured in the second overseas deployment .It is hard on him .He survived Afghanistan but the flood has caused him problems

Brrrrrrrrrr, cold here this morning at 44! Sun still hanging out there tho.

@BarbO it looks and sounds so terrible back there and will take so very long to clean it all up. So sad to see such devastation and sorry for the loss of lives. Glad the water never made it far enough to get to you. Hope everyone back there gets the help they need to start over, whether it is to rebuild or move away to another area.

people do not understand mold can kill and if you choose to stay during a hurricane that can flood you may have chose wrong .Like Ashley said health was her number 1 concern ,things can be replace but health is up to you to protect .She went back and put several mold detectors that she bought here at lowes .She could see the change in them with in a couple of hours and will still send them to the lab .She said she will not salvage anything at this point .She is afraid .Her neighbor who chose to stay put rescue workers in danger because of her health .Her and her husband chose to stay and she is diabetic and he has heart problems .It was a stupid choice she should have not made

Heavy humidity is lifting, could feel the air was getting dryer when out earlier. Mid 60s today.

severe thunder storm last night over7 inch's of rain and dan river is at flood stage of over 18 feet and was over 19 feet on August 2 nd of this year .Bad thing is there is still heavy storms in West Virginia and that means the water will come here and all this water will now head into North Carolina .They do not need this on top of what is still going on down there .The Dan River runs into the Mayo River in Mayodan NC

The sun is coming out, yay! Boy did we get a dumping yesterday off and on and into the night. Love the sound of rain pounding on the skylights. It puts me right into la la land!
