Winds started at 11 pm last night and rearranged everything on my front porch and decks and poor pickles was in panic mode .He finally exhausted himself after 5 am and it is now after 8 am and I am exhausted and winds are still gusting and sun is out and 54 degrees .But the wind is supposed to keep up until 11 am saturday ..Checked outside I don't see any damage .A couple of my neighbors lost roof shingles as I see them out in the road .Looked at mine but no damage .But WOW this wind is something .It is gusting over 50 mph .

I saw a lot of people without power already from the storm .My son has been busy towing already .People don't factor in the wind on bridges

Awe poor Pickles!! Did you comfort the sweet thing all night!! My fat baby Rio crawls under the covers with hubby when our weather is bad.

Yep pickles is a real baby .Wind wrapped around and now it is getting stronger again but sun is out but it is cold .

Trees down one apartment building lost a three story brick wall. 5 people died, in cars, walking, in bed, from tree branches. Planes, why would they fly, pushed sideways. The few that took off. Lots without power.

We have power, no internet. Hand can't take typing on the phone. So cya laters.

Got 18 inches of cattle-panel-destroying snow here yesterday, and the plows won't be by until Sunday or Monday.

Brutal winds and cold yesterday. Have a lot of rearranging to do when all is said and done. Hope it is over!

We lost our power for 3 1/2 hours. Was able to get the generator fired up to handle the pond pumps. Power company was amazing getting things fixed way ahead of what they had reported. There is going to be days of cleaning the ponds up after the winds stop. Lots of leaves, branches and gum balls in the ponds!

wind is still here but no power outage because Danville electric paid a company the last 3 years to take down all trees even near the power lines .I guess it has worked and bonus if the people chose to get firewood it was cut and piled up for them .Branch's were shredded and if you want free mulch you can go to Danville city works with a truck and get it and they will load it for you .All my leaves blew away to leaf heaven and nothing blew into the pond .My tax money at work .At least it is a cheap area to live .My 1000 dollars goes a long way .

I’ll be back online Sunday or Monday, out camping in chilly temps, suffering a serious lack of coffee and warm weather. This is much more fun when it’s a bit warmer at night.

I hear lots w/o power and am sad to hear the loss of life from this major storm back East of us. Hope it is over now.

We are glad to be here right now w/our rain but at least right now it is sunny for a minute anyways.

Hope all of you here on this forum who live back East and in Canada where you are getting so much wind and snow will be ok and of course all your ponds also.
