If I could insulate all over again it would be with roxul rock wool .It may not be cheap but it does not burn ,it does not get wet and it is not liked by bugs and rodents .The modular home builders now offer it back in 2004 .What a shame JW as family is always important .I even keep in contact with all my nieces and nephews .My 1 nephew and his wife have decided to relocate here from PA as they were able to get job transfer with the 911 operators .They have been looking at houses on the realtor sight I sent them .They can't wait as it is cheaper here and the weather is better .

Temps are crazy today. It was mud 60s around 7 am, now 37. My butt is froze from digging up bulbs. Almost done! Well, with water back on, I can do a good water change on the aquarium! So happy. I lost three of the ones I’m raising, I think it may be due to not being able to change the water. And maybe temp fluctuating, inside and out.

My koi think spring has sprung in south central IL! They were at the top, waiting to be fed. I told them there is lots of algae in there for them to snack on, and I'm not going to feed them until they get it gone. LOL It sure was nice to see them! 60's here today and 68 tomorrow, then only 40 on Wed., then back up to the 50's for the 10-day forecast. Lots of rain predicted, rained off and on all day today, and we may get 5-7" of rain before this week is through with! That will fill up my pasture pond the rest of the way for sure! It's still about 3' low, after having it dug out last fall.

83. Not sure I like that as I'm anticipating a short Spring and a Loooong Summer. Fertilized the lilies. The pond looks really bare.

@Lisak1 it took such a long time but I'm thankful it finally came to be. I found my birth mother and half sister way back in the 70's when no internet or dna to buy. I found her going through a local phone book w/a name my adopted parents gave me. She could have been anywhere in the world. I went through every person w/her last name for days searching. Finally a guy said he might know something and he would get back to me. I didn't think he would but finally I got a call from his father saying they knew who I was and who my mother was. Turned out my mother was his adopted sister, yes my mother was adopted also. Then we met him and he told me he knew where my mother lived in California and he then told me I had a half sister and he knew where she was too. That was the best information I ever received! We live close to each other now and see each other often.

We’ve got icy conditions. But just two hr drive from us, it’s 70. Not good. If it keeps that up, I’ll be singing with the Lollipop gang and petting the cowardly lion. I’m worried this freeze will kill my plants, and I may have killed one of my fish when I added water to the tank. That’s 4 I’ve lost recently.

Cloudy skies and south of Seattle they are getting snow so why can't we get some more? Not to be greedy or anything but it's just so pretty.
But look what it did to my poor tree. The tree was a real leaner tho so it was bound to happen w/a heavy wet snowfall. It's in a spot where if all of it falls it won't hurt anyone or anything so I'll see how it does.

I think this is the coldest winter we have had since the 90's up here in Canada. It has been down below -30 and -40 Celsius overnight for weeks on end with next to no breaks, not like we usually have in previous winters when warm Chinook winds come and melt everything in sight. We did have a little break last week for a day or two then bank to deep freezer.... :(

Icy rain today, porch is slick, boss told us stay home. So I cleaned the grow up tank, I’m down to 6 fish left. I think the water I added was from town instead of water we pulled from the pond, so I lost like 5. Now I’m working on the bathroom, it needed a deep clean to get off hard water and soap scum. Next is sweeping, mopping all the floors that aren’t carpet. I’ve got about 5 projects to get done if I can today. Ones done, ones in progress, letting the cleaner soak in to take off the buildups. I think I’ll be redoing the counter in there when I do the kitchens. I don’t like the fake stone on it. So it’ll be done differently. And I’ll be painting then too, redoing the tub, tile paint, etc. It will look very different when I’m done.
