Went down to 6F last night. Might get to 30F by late afternoon today. Warmer temps this week in the 40's.

My plum tree is covered with emerging leaves and the flower buds are opening, so far it appears it has survived the

The daffodil flowers are all hanging down

Cloudy here in Felicity California. They are calling it the Center of the World for some reason. Wouldn't it be that way wherever one stood in this world at the moment?

Another late winter storm dumped 8" on us this morning. It's still snowing lightly. We may get a couple more inches tonight, but it's supposed to turn to rain tomorrow and by Thursday, the high will be near 50. I really want my ponds and stream back!

Cold all weekend, now back above freezing, with scattered rain. Driving along a back road on Saturday, LOML sees a "nice" rock that would look good in the garden. On the way back, I stop and get it for her. Must be close to 200 lb.! Almost dropped it on my foot the first time I tried to get it on the tailgate. She's happy! :D

Today and into tonight we're getting sleet, then rain. Tomorrow rain AM then 50! By the weekend we're going back down to 0 and below with high's Saturday single numbers and Sunday may get into upper teens.
Right now it's just gray and dismal looking.........someone once said "No day is so bad that it can't be made better with a nap."
I may test that theory!

Just pitiful!DSC03333.JPG

Back to winter. Cold weather on the way. Actually it's cold today, too. We have a High Wind Warning with gusts over 55mph. I had all kinds of stuff tipped over or blowing around this morning. On the bright side, it looks like the winter storm is going to miss us this weekend.

I looked back to previous years and discovered that I started my pond on March 9th last year and March 20th the year before, so next time our temps go back into the 50s or maybe even 40s, I plan on starting the pond up. I'll feel more comfortable about it once we hit the middle of the month.
