Was 16 just a bit ago and now way up to 21, whoo hooo! Hope my eyes won't freeze open when I walk out there today. 39 they say for later. I'm not going out there till it gets a bit warmer, say like 25 or so. I do have my limits! Takes me a half hour to get dressed to go.

Home with the flu again today. The air quality meter is 'unhealthy' in my area from all the wood smoke, which doesn't help the sore throat. Can't complain though, as my woodstove goes through a cord or two each winter.
It finally clouded up today, and we're supposed to get some godsblessed rain Monday. So excited for normal winter dankness. Then I can gripe about the mud in the henyard

71 dgrees today with sun .Propane guy was here and quoted me a price of 779 dollars for vent free and no tank rental .Not sure that is a fair price or not .Any one have an idea on here it would help a lot

Pics of my long lost love! Apparently at one point in my life I had a love affair with snow. Going thru my old pics I found me Snowboarding, snowshoeing, skiing, snow camping?, even building snowmen. Now I've got a special kind of hate for snow, got no use for it, wish I'd never have to see it again. Sigh....It's here now...

Peter, When I was a kid, we lived in northern MN and I used to LOVE all things snow! Somewhere along the ( many) years , I've decided I've had enough snow - LOL.

Sissy, Would this vent free fireplace, be inserted into your fire place, or is it a free standing kind? We paid more than $779, but we had to have a gas line run, a new damper, the ceramic logs etc. $779 sounds pretty good....any idea what the propane will run?

It is just the logs the blower the propane tank and all the lines run for it and 5 year warranty from midway gas and 15 years on the logs and free cleaning once a year from midway propane on the logs and insert The logs are 18 inch ones made in NC .Everything is included except for the cost of the propane to fill the tank 2.49 a lb. I know the one I get for my gas grill costs 19.99 from lowes and that is a 5 lb. tank and this one will be a 27 lb one and if I do need another size they can change it out free of charge .I am going to look at the Navien whole house water heater also when I go there .I want to see first hand how they work .I have dandelions coming up does that count and saw honey bees at them .

Had to post this .I have had this amaryllis for 6 years and would leave it in the cold and it never flowered .This year I left it on the front deck until the middle of November and first year for flowers .I always leave it outside all summer on the front porch .My desert rose is doing good also

Waiting for this warmth they have been spouting about. Last night was just as cold as before. If it gets to 42 today I'll be happy.
