rain from the storm and tried the bleach and water on the deck boards that are in decent shape but need stripped .I only added 1 cup of bleach and should have added 2 cups but just wanted to see if it would even take the stain that was on there off .The other boards are the new ones .The one at the back is what they looked like and the last pic was of the before

The Weather Channel is suggesting we could get hit with double-digit snowfall next Tuesday. I'm glad it's still four days away, and I'm hoping like hell it changes course from what they're predicting. Our weather has really been improving lately, and I'd hate to see something like that hit and give us many more weeks of Winter. That's what can happen this time of year though. You think you're out of it and it gives you a painful remind that you aren't.

For now, I'll just focus on this weekend, temps in the 50°'s again!

21 this am, ponds have a light layer of ice on them again. Sun is out, it will melt soon. Heading up to 46 today and full sun. And no wind, maybe I can finally clean the bog surface of all the dead leaves, plants etc. It was still growing strong when we left in September.

Rains back. Got the vents in and two skylights fixed. Still one more to do when the rains depart.

I wanted skylights with dormers but after reading all the bad stuff about them ,I decide not to get them .I looked at the anderson and pella kits .I figured just go with the longer windows in the house instead .

Mid 40s here today so got some more leaves cleaned out of both ponds and worked more on cleaning bog. I pumped out the small pond between the bog and main pond. It was full of rotted leaves and muck. this is what caused our fish loss last spring. We fired up the pumps not realizing how bad the muck was in there.

6 or more inches of snow expected late tonight and tomorrow morning.
This one's going to sting. We made so much progress toward Spring, go figure, the first day of meteorological Spring is when we get one of the bigger snows of the season. On the bright side, the long term forecast is showing 40°s and a 57° by next Monday. Looks like this snow won't be melting any time before then.
