@addy1are those yellow plants rudbeckia ?
I think so they are volunteers on the edge of the big pond. They are pretty, get to live, but! I am highly allergic to black eyed susans our state flower. Those little thistles on the stems I get horrible contact dermatitis. So if grooming I snip from afar and have heavy shirt, sleeves on. Last time I got it my arms were as big as my legs.

I need to take a closer look for the thistles. I do have some by the bee hives that look the same but no thistles on the stems.

Everything I plant is for the bees, our honey bees, but also all the native bees, bugs, bumble bees etc.

The little wildlife pond is coming right along. Stuff is starting to grow but I need more to grow up around it. I have a frog in there that decided to make the place it's home.

And here is the bigger pond. It was leaking water somewhere around the top edge for a long time. Finally yesterday I decided to see where. All it took was a bit of finger poking around the whole edge to see where it was damp and of course it was right under the Japanese Maple which is the hardest place for me to get under. I managed after a lot of ducking and lifting out big rocks from under the liner and adding more rocks under to lift up the excess liner that I am thankful I saved by just tucking under. It took awhile to fix all of this but way worth it as now the pond is full and no leaking over a squished down edge anymore, yay!
